Another Leaker

Paul Rousseau

Well, I thought I could wait to fix my fuel line. First, this 93
allegedly has a 95 engine, so I had hoped they had fixed the fuel line.
I checked a few weeks ago and realized I had the dreaded crimp. But
since I live in warm weather, I hoped it could wait a bit. Went skiing
this weekend and afterwards, smelled gas. Checked under the hood and
saw the famous crimp leaking. Stopped almost immediately, slept in the
van and waited for it to warm up the next day. Luckily, we were able
to drive home. Now it is time to fix it immediately. I've seen past
posts on this but still have one question.
There are two crimped connections to 2 hoses coming out of a black
sheath. One is black and was the leaking fuel line. The other is
blue. Any idea what this is? Should I also get it fixed? Appreciate
any suggestions.
