Since I had complained to VW about my leaking fuel lines, I received a call from
a "customer service representative." She told me I needed to take the van to a
dealer. If they diagnose a leak, VW would inform me of the assistance they might
give me. (This lady was friendly and professional). This is two weeks after they
had told me that I was on my own. At that point I had asked for a letter,
stating that they will not replace the fuel lines. I told the lady about 2
weeks ago (who was definitely not a customer service representative, but a
pretty aggressive and unpleasant woman) that I need this letter in case the van
goes up in flames, so I could show it to my insurance company.
I guess I am happy that they reconsidered and called me. The problem now is
that I had immediately fixed the leaking fuel line to avoid a fire. How can I
have a dealer certify that it is leaking??
