Does anyone know if the muffler from a 97 or 99 (VR-6) with the oval tip
will fit on an earlier (93) eurovan. The stock replacement part for the 93
has dual outlets that point down and looks kind of funny (imho).

Does anyone have any experience with after market mufflers for a 93 EV? I
just discovered, mine will be in need of replacement soon, but I don't want
to pay VW prices. For my Jetta Diesel I bought a $12 muffler which has
lasted 4 years w/o problems and no sign of deterioration (the original
muffler lasted 10 years and 140 000 miles--that's a Diesel for you!). Does
anyone know the official inside and outside diameter of the exhaust pipe? I
thought about installing a free flowing muffler in hopes of gaining a few
horses.
