Does anyone have any experience with after market mufflers for a 93 EV? I
just discovered, mine will be in need of replacement soon, but I don't want
to pay VW prices. For my Jetta Diesel I bought a $12 muffler which has
lasted 4 years w/o problems and no sign of deterioration (the original
muffler lasted 10 years and 140 000 miles--that's a Diesel for you!). Does
anyone know the official inside and outside diameter of the exhaust pipe? I
thought about installing a free flowing muffler in hopes of gaining a few
horses.
