Re: For Sale Used 200 Ah Sinopoly LiFoPo cells
Hi George,
Would the instrument you used to test the cells you have for sale, also be used to test the battery life of the battery in a Used EV that someone would consider buying?
Thanks,

I have 40 cells for sale. ?They have all been tested for their capicaty. They range from a low of 120 Ah to a High of 148 Ah. ?The average is about 135 Ah. ?They are still useful for a solar storage or battery backup. ?About 13 Kwh at 144 vdc. ?I have replaced the cell in my car because the range had dropped to about 35-40 miles. ?They could still be used in a car if do not mind the limited range. ?I have the jumpers and bolts that go with the cells. ?I am asking $65.00 per cell or Best Offer.

$5.77 miracle.
It was just a fuse.. (and these fuses aren't even covered in the owner's manual..)

Fuse is definitely worth getting. Should not rattle. Local auto parts store is a LOT safer than Amazon, which has many counterfeits. Jeff C.

thanks for the help!! Dry is definitely better for electrical things than wet. The water is probably condensation from the air conditioning. Yes, reconnect the hoses. That should fix it. Was any wiring other than the fuse harness wet? In particular were any red wires shorted to black wires? Replacing the fuses can't hurt. Just make sure to use good quality ones of the exact same type and current. They should be standardized. Any auto parts or hardware store should have them, but go for a well known brand like Littelfuse, Bussmann, Bosch, etc. You can also test the fuses (unplugged from the holder) with an ohmmeter or (low voltage) battery and light bulb. Sometimes the fuses are designed to have the fusable element visible, so you can see if it's burned out. Sometimes not. Air conditioning can be weak due to the working fluid leaking out, stuff clogging the heat exchangers, leaves/animals in ducts, etc. If you're handy, all of that can be fixed yourself, or you can hire a shop to do it. Cheers, Jeff C.

Our structural engineer has certified the unit for up to 130 mph winds, assuming appropriate ground screw attachment. ?There isn’t that much for the wind to blow on in the lateral direction.

Re: solar microgrid EV charging update
Thank you all for your comments and thank you, Jerry, for the mention! ?Ben and Jerry are both correct — prices depend on exact configuration, and we are happy to work with any serious customers off-list to provide a quotation.
We also recently announced our fleet charging solution, which works for larger numbers of EVs (works with a traditional solar canopy, rather than a pop-up). ?As I’m sure many of you know, the grid is often the limitation to deploying large numbers of EV chargers. ?And waiting two years for PG&E to expand or provide a new service connection is not an option for many customers. ?We can deliver a solution quickly that makes use of existing grid capacity and augments it with optional solar and storage to charge a larger number of EVs than would be possible by grid power alone.
Please contact me off-list if you’re interested at tom@...!

Re: solar microgrid EV charging update
Hi Sybil,
Good question. I am sure Tom can provide an answer, however I have a feeling that the price depends on the amount of battery storage, the distance that the installers have to travel to the customer location and any site specific issues that add complexity to the project. ?
Maybe Tom can share what the final cost was for the installation at the city of Davis and whether there were any grants that paid for part?of the project.
However, the final price will be a fraction of what the Cities of Santa Clara and Cupertino paid for their Beam EV ARC solar charging stations.? Those systems have additional hardware that moves the solar array to track the sun throughout the day which makes them inherently more expensive.

I guess I should see if my car code reader that I got long ago will show me any more info.
thanks..
Check the fuse first. Agree with George that since the brakes work, but need to be pressed very hard, it's probably the vacuum pump that's not working. ? On most EVs, the brake booster vacuum pump is electrically powered, and the fuse not working could prevent the pump from coming on. So check the fuse first. Jeff C.
