Does anybody have a smart ED?
Last night, just before getting home, it started beeping and showing "brake malf. Workshop".
Various googling seems like it could be:
* wiring harness issue
* fuse issue (fuses near the 12V battery, and my replacement was manual and I had to have an AAA guy get it all the way in, so who knows, maybe that affected the fuses, but that was months and months ago)
* actual brake cylinder or other vacuum issue
I can still manually brake by pushing REALLY hard on it, and of course usually do regen braking by letting off the accelerator (though the smart doesn't have one pedal mode).. so am still driving very carefully on slow city streets. at least to work and eventually dealer.
Will prob go to a Benz dealer since they were who sold smarts when they were in the USA?
