Re: Stream 3 version 1.4 is now LIVE!
开云体育Hi Matthew ? Yes, I would agree with Claire, this looks like a great up-date, lots of fixes. The only thing I find a bit annoying, when you press info or where am I in $vrotherbooks, it lags a bit, may be half a minute before it starts speaking. I am using mostly 256 gb sd cards. Thanks for all your hard work. ? ? Regards Adrien ? ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Mathieu via groups.io

Re: Stream 3 version 1.4 is now LIVE!
开云体育Sorry folks, but only just caught up with earlier posts here.
As to Claire's question, I might add that Humanware could talk to Calibre Audio about making their online books available on the stream.? While RNIB seems to be dragging its feet getting this going, I think Calibre might just be more willing to see this sort of service made available on the Stream.? I note that the Synapptic Android software enables downloading or streaming of Calibre books, so clearly this could be a possibility for the Stream in the future.

I have now managed to locate the episode and will listen to the programme tomorrow. I think the BBC do a good job with its news content and documentaries and like you I find the commercials extremely irritating and a good excuse to visit the bathroom or make a cup of tea ? I would have thought the play button would be accessible. I used to subscribe to a podcast of James O'Brien's podcasts which featured interviews he does. I do not listen to LBC or much commercial radio at the moment, though I do catch up with some Boom Radio catchup programmes, some of which I do manage to download. Much of commercial radio isn't much to my liking though with the hammering the Beeb has taken down to idoelogical corectness of the Right means many of us will be driven to commercial offerins more and more, which is no doubt the idea! I have not worked out what the attraction of TuneIn radio is as I for one like still to escape obtrusive and repetative advertizing when I can as I don't see the attraction of being brainwashed through repetition into buying products I don't much want anyway! Re: Using TuneIn
Hi David
Thanks. To be honest, I was just seeing if I could pair TuneIn. I am quite happy using Ootunes, as you don't get all those annoying commercials at the beginning. I hate them as I like to trawl through stations to see what they are playing, like going along a dial on a radio. Pele |

It is quite a while since I did this but remember it was not at all intuitive. You could try just typing in the code and pressing enter. That maybe it. If nobody else can remember how to do it, I could try posting a question on the VR List if you are not already a member. Purely personally whilst I was curious about Tunein I did not myself find any content that it was easier and more straightforward to access using the main VR Podcast app. Unfortunately, much of the most interesting content, like Sports channels, seems geographically restricted to the USA. Also, on the main Podcast app you can fast forward through ads which I could not do on Tunein. Ditto for Radio, apart from ad skipping. What was of some interest was the recommendations on Tunein which I then found on the main Podcast app. I would be interested if anybody found Tunein only content that was of interest here in the UK. Matthew from Humanware organises the testing and I believe he is on this list but on holiday at the moment.
