I need to figure out how to do that. The QST workaround was suggested to me by Dan Smith, but it was mainly to verify what the issue was.

Re: Is AMBE chip needed for D-RATS?
Hello John,
You're correct in that the DVSI AMBE chip is only needed for the Vocoder section but it wouldn't surprise me if many implementations EXPECT to see the AMBE chip there even if it's not

Excessive QSTs
I have a noticed an increase in the amount of un-necessary QSTs on the Public Ratflector. It has come to the point where it is difficult to have a conversation with someone without being interrupted

Re: Is AMBE chip needed for D-RATS?
You are correct on all counts. A 9600 bps TNC in KISS mode will do exactly that.
D-RATS supports KISS mode TNCs.
Software is available to use a soundcard as a 9600 bps TNC.

Is AMBE chip needed for D-RATS?
From what I can see, the AMBE chip is only needed for Digital Voice mode.
If that is really the case, it should be possible to build a D-RATs/Digital mode adapter for existing FM gear usign a GMSK

I believe D-RATS has an excellent built in mapping capability that is specifically designed to be used without a network connection. There is a utility program, d-rats_mapdownloader.exe, located in

Are they still doing development of D-Rats? It's seem like there hasn't been any updates for a long time.

Forms display (print) not formatted properly in IE.
Quick stupid question.
Trying to print a received 213 form. Formats and looks ok in Firefox but not in IE. Am I missing something simple (other than the fact IE might just suck)?
