I ditched Alexa in my home for the same reason.? It's just got progressively worse and worse.? I think the voice control fad will go the way of the 3d TV fad.?

Does anyone know the following:

1) How many channels of audio on Dante will it transmit?
2) How many channels of audio on Dante will it receive?
3) Will it transmit and receive Dante simultaneously?
4) When transmitting Dante, what sources can it transmit (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, Analog Audio, primary/2nd stream (when in in decode mode))?
5) If receiving Dante, it can be routed to: HDMI Out, Analog Out, Primary/2nd stream (when in encode mode)?

When Amazon/Crestron released their module, I installed it into my own home as I had Echos and Dots everywhere - it worked fine. Over the last year or longer, I have noticed Alexa does not respond as she did when the Skill was first released. She does not always recognize rooms and such and at times is unresponsive.

Has anyone experienced the same issues with the Alexa/Crestron Skill or is it just me. I built out a room at a University, everything works great, except the same issues, Alexa gets commands right about 30% of the time. And it is the same command.

Any insight any programmers could share would be greatly appreciated.

we are testing a lecture capture system with a Capture-HD Pro and a TTC08-02 Cisco SDI camera (new version) at the moment. It should be a quick streaming solution for a cancelled event.

The latest firmware was installed to the CHD and we are using the example program (QM-RMC + Capture-HD) in stand-alone-mode without fusion.

The problem is that the USB recording of content and camera input is not working. The confidence screen is black as well.

The cisco camera has been tested in AUTO-mode, 1080p/30 and 720p/30 resolution. The simultanious HDMI output works at a Vaddio AV Bridge without issues.

Tested and working functions:

-???????HDMI Input -> HDMI Output (content mode)

-???????VGA Input -> HDMI Output (content mode)

-???????VGA input -> VGA output (loop out)

-???????USB recording AUDIO ONLY (.ts file, VLC player)

-???????The content input and the SDI-input are displayed as ?detected“ in the program.

Not working functions:

-???????HDMI output in confidence mode (black screen) for several PIP-combinations and VGA and HDMI content input. SDI camera connected and disconnected, HDMI source connected and disconnected – tested in several SDI/HDMI combinations.

-???????USB picture recording (720p/30 and 1080p/30) – The audio signal has been recorded. Same setup as described fort he confidence output.

Now I am wondering if I have a broken device or if I made a mistake setting up the devices. I heard that there are some issues with the Capture HD in general.

Has anyone played with this to get it working with Crestron serial? I have not had success as of yet.

If you are using the Blue App, it does still work but if Apple breaks the App with a iOS update, Crestron may not fix it.? The Silver app is a newer version that uses Smart Graphics.? But even the Silver app can be broken by a iOS update however it is likely Crestron will come up with an update if it does.? The main concern I have with the Silver App and Smart Graphics is it is flash based and everybody is discontinuing support and even in some cases blocking it.

In your case, since you are using the Blue App and loaded the project to the RMC3, you want to set the following in the App Setup (assuming you used the defaults in your SIMPL program).
use local file: NO
Friendly Name:? [Anything you want here]
IP Address: [key in the IP address of your RMC3 here -- e.g. something like 192.168.1.200]
HTTP: 80
Port A: 41790 [this is the default but can be changed in SIMPL at the symbol at IPID-05]
Port B: [leave this blank in most cases]
Password: [this is the pass code that you keyed into the symbol at IPID-05).
Don't mess with the Advance tab for now.

Make sure that you don't have SSL enabled on your processor -- at least to begin with.? Once you get things working, you can experiment with SSL.

Note the free Blue App is limited to just a few pages.? So when you make your? project in VTPRO, select Panel Type: "Crestron Mobile for Phones".? Do not used the PRO version as the free App will not work with it.

Sorry, but a noob question, how do you actually make this? (blue) app work ( free version)?
I am stuck with "connected" and initializing, please wait.. status since day 1.
Project made in VTPRO saved as Crestron App for iPhone 5 (? I have an 8) . sent to RMC3 web server.
In SIMPL, added App module IP-ID5 (where does it prompt you to enter this ID? in blue app anyway). slot 1? user project name: same filename with whats on RMC3 webserver.?
In blue app, set these as- [ hostname: RMC3 ip], [ http:80, ports AB? 41794/96], [passcode:admin (don't remember setting this but put it anyway] , [ use local file :YES]
Is there anything else I'm missing or doing wrong?

Hi,

I?m struggling with video streams in the Crestron android app. I have a few different IP cameras (Lilin, Grandstream, Axis) in a small local network. I can play the H264 streams of all cameras via rtsp in VLC on any PC or android device in the LAN. Also a Synology DiskStation is recording the streams. That works like a charm.

In the Crestron app, I?m using the “Embedded video” app. There is a 50:50 chance that the stream will play, if not, the window just stays black. What helps now and then, is switching to any other app and back to Crestron. The behavior is the same on half a dozen phones and tablets, running on different android versions. I have simplified things that far, that only one page, containing the “embedded video” with URL etc. preset, ?is in the app project and nothing running on the connected series2 or 3 processor.

Is it just me, or..? I didn?t try iOS yet, costly experiment, since the full version of the app is needed.

Any good hint, before I look into how to launch an external stream player from the CrestronApp???

No, the Crestron App still uses the iPhone 5 resolution plus it will be letterboxed on iPhone X.

I've also tried opening these files on another computer but no luck. The size of the files don't even match the size they should be :(

I've since moved all files I still have (which I had backed up to a few google drive accounts to a cloud storage and I now work straight out of that cloud storage so it automatically syncs everytime I save the files

When I opened in Notepadd++ it didn't read as it should...

I've had something similar to this happen. One thing to try is to download Notepad++. Then right click on your .smw file and select "Edit with Notepad++". Once it opens in the editor, go to edit->EOL Conversion and select "Windows (CR LF)". Then press save and try opening it again in Simpl. Hopefully that helps.

Did you try opening the files on a different PC? Same thing has happened to me a few times over the years, especially vtp files. The only thing that made the PC work with the Crestron software again was a reformat of the OS drive and a software reinstall.

Anything changes on this front in terms of iPhone resolution? In the process of redoing our iPhone interface. Been using the iPhone 5 version in VTP uptil now.
