Re: Losing URL encoding in S#

I also posted this on labs and someone there came up with a solution to double encode the embedded url

Thanks

Re: DM-NVX-351

We have used the Microsemi PD-9524GC 24 port midspan injector in the past for remote powering NVX units. I did also find the Planet UPOE-2400G injector but have not used it.

DM-NVX-351

I have an upcoming system that will require a 12x12 ish NVX setup but all endpoints and transmitters (350s or 351s) must be POE on a single switch.? I'm aware that the requirements are POE++ or 802.3b+ type 3.
Does anyone have any strong opinions on this?? Have any experience with a switch that can hang with the POE requirements?? Yes, locally powering them is an option but not in this case.? Thoughts?

Re: RoKu IP Control - again!

for the PKG file.? Extract it to get the 2 files to store on the processor.

and the CCD module is in the Simpl database.? Define the IP and where to look for the files with a SIO and pulse the connect.

Re: RoKu IP Control - again!

I just saw that there are CCD drivers in the Crestron SMW Library; however the version is v1.2 now. It has (10) custom commands with 'Exists' FB and Name Text.
1. Anyone used this successfully?
2. Has anyone found that the Custom commands work for the Favorites?? (It would be nice not to have to use two modules...)

Re: CrestronApp prob. H264 stream (android)

I tell my clients to use the camera app that came with the NVR/DVR. Solves all the problems.?

I would say this is too generalized, and XIO cloud isn't just for static info, and certainly isn't minimal from the writeups on it. XIO cloud also allows remote operation in real time of some devices, like a touchpanel, so you can see what the user is doing or take control yourself to get them going as if you were in the room.

I would agree the information can be pretty ambiguous, I had to dig around to find the info below, if you just look at the main XIO info page it's pretty underwhelming. We are in the midst of deciding which way to go, we have the licensing for on-prem Fusion, but last I was aware it could only do basic room control (ie on, off) and would alert you if something went wrong (but you would have to use other software or go to the room to fix it). I lean towards XIO cloud so techs can take control of the room or walk people through what they're doing, but don't care for the licensing as much. There are certainly more features I've glossed over, but this is my general understanding at the moment. Please correct me if I'm wrong, always happy to know more.

XIO Cloud Premium:
Key Features
  • Supports a direct device-to-cloud connection via the Microsoft? Azure? software IoT?Hub without requiring any additional hardware
  • Remotely provision, monitor, and manage Crestron? devices across an enterprise
  • Apply changes to multiple devices at once by organizing them into groups and subgroups
  • Update firmware and configure settings for multiple devices simultaneously
  • Schedule actions such as program load, firmware updates, and reboots for a future time, including recurrence patterns
  • Monitor the status of all connected devices remotely
  • Claim hundreds of devices to the cloud before installation
  • View real world device usage information using interactive and filterable charts
  • Send alert messages to specified users when a device enters an error state
  • View error logs in an alert status pane that also displays resolution status
  • Track account usage and changes with cloud audit logs

Re: Amazon Alexa

The Home/Away/Goodnight are "Tell Crestron" commands, not regular commands. If you want to use Home/Away/Goodnight without saying "Tell Crestron..." you can just create a routine.?

Deprecated commands?? Is there a reference that you could point me to?

I think part of the problem is depreicated commands havent been removed from the module. So things like Home/Away/Goodnight do not work despite being the most obvious items you pick for a test.

It's ok -? I still think its a bit cumbersome but when you get it working in m experience it stays working.

Does anyone know how to conrol window blinds via Alexa? I cannot get the voice commands to work at all.

Re: RoKu IP Control - again!

I'm using the "Crestron Certified Drivers VideoServer Ethernet 1.0 (cm)".? I originally tried several of the modules in the files section and found the Crestron driver to be much faster and more reliable.? I just use the files section driver for app selection since that wasn't available in the Crestron driver.??

Thanks All for the Feedback. A couple more questions:

1. To TRoberts and rpc78? -? I'm not sure that I understand using an OSC for basic control of the NAV commands, could you explain? OR is this just to get a P+H function to automatically keep scrolling with one P+H??

2. To All:? Where are you finding the IP CCD for this?? when I search the CCD drivers webpage, I only com up with IR drivers, no IP, CEC, or other? ?(And why? does there need to be 30+ IR drivers??? ...Sorry, rhetorical question...:) )

TIA

Re: RoKu IP Control - again!

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Yes, the osc is to get a press and hold to keep sending the command for better scrolling.?

Fusion Email Templates #Fusion

I have customized the emails we get from fusion with our College header.? i have fusion monitoring my IP table to send me an email if something is offline.??

My question is - How do I insert a serial join into the email?? I want the text that is transmitted to a particular Fusion serial join to be inserted into my email template.? ?

Re: RoKu IP Control - again!

Little plug... We have this:

It offers direct app launching and automatically pulls in the app images too which you can do some quite nice things with.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

They are devices that respond to ¡°switch on¡± and ¡°switch off¡± instead of ¡°open¡± or ¡°close¡±.?

For blinds/shades first check that they work by issuing a command like ¡°Switch <name of shade> on¡±.?

Then set up a routine in the Alexa app that responds to ¡°Open <name of shade>¡± and ¡°Close <name of shade¡± and performs the switch on/off task?

I've had no real issues with my Grandstream GXV3500 to my TSW-752's but I can't for the life of me get my Lilin streams to work.

Losing URL encoding in S#

I'm trying to execute the following http command in s#

I've encoded the url within the http message as that is required by the system I'm sending the command to. However, after I execute the following

string url =? ""
HttpClient client = new HttpClient();
HttpClientRequest request = new HttpClientRequest();
HttpClientResponse response;
request.KeepAlive = false;
request.Url.Parse(url);

When I print the url to the console by executing?

CrestronConsole.Printline(request.Url.ToString());??

I get the following:

The encoding I included in the url string has been removed and the other system rejects the command.??

Any ideas on how I can get S# to leave the encoding in my url string in place, or any other solution to this problem, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for the help

Jay?

Re: RoKu IP Control - again!

I also use the combination of the Crestron Certified driver and the "Roku 3 Series" from the files section. I just use the files section driver for app selection. Everything else I do with the Crestron driver.

I use a combination of the CCD, which works surprisingly well for all the basic functions, with one of the "Roku 3 Series" modules from the Group's Files section. The latter is only for the direct channel commands and icons.
