Re: Crestron Home Touch - Panels disconnection

That¡¯s interesting, I understand you can access it via SSH but are you able to access via web/toolbox EasyConfig/Firmware Update Tool after rebooting it?

I¡¯d contact TB before doing this but it sounds like you could try to force a firmware update to see if it corrects the issue, even if it¡¯s on the latest already.?

BEFORE DOING THE FIRMWARE UPDATE,
Make sure the panel has a sufficient source of power. Otherwise the firmware update could break it even more.?

Crestron panels / interfaces are also known to act wonky when they aren¡¯t getting enough power, maybe it¡¯s a similar situation? Just throwing out ideas.?

Regularly, and for a reason I don't know, one or more TSW570P-R are disconnected from the system.
In this case I get the following error in the logs:?
For example : ?Error: SimplSharpPro[App00] # 2024-06-04 13:14:03 # ReceiveDataAsync: Invalid client Index 3 - 10.0.4.71:37316

In this situation, the touchpanel is completly black and not responsive.
It is not connected to the system, but it is still on the network (I can ping it)
The only way to restablish the service is to send a reboot via SSH to the touchpanel.

Do you have an idea ?

Re: Smart graphics button state (active vs inactive)

Been looking at various optical isolators/couplers.? Still looking but they all seem to require 3 vdc or more to trigger and I have only 1.94.

Awesome. Thank you!

I don't.? But, William at NC Systems used my integration technique to create one for Crestron home.?

Hope this helps

Hi S¨¦bastien,
Could you tell me how i can link your module SimplSharp library with simp+ or simpl windows, i have been trying to rescue the SimplSharp from simpl+ but i have not had success.
Thank you very much in advance.

Re: Mitsubishi mini split and Crestron Home

Yes, essentially the CoolPlug emulates the native Mitsu WRC (wall room controller.)

Clean.

Re: DSC PowerSeries Neo

I got this working, and setup wasn't as difficult as the Help document makes it seem.? It probably only took about 15 or 20 minutes, and would be even less if I ever had to do it again.

I've let it run for a few days and it seems to work well, however there are two pretty big caveats...

#1 - It only provides keypad emulation, which is good to have, but there is NO discrete zone status.? So it's difficult to do things like trigger other logic when a door is opened or motion is sensed.? Technically, the keypad's display output could be run through an SIO, but that's not ideal.

#2 - As Gregory and others have mentioned, it takes a FULL ten minutes to connect initially, and after any reboot.? I asked Crestron about it, and their exact words were "that is normal behavior".

I think we're eventually going to have to embrace these newer panels, but ten minutes (actually 12 to 16 minutes in my tests) to reconnect is simply unacceptable.? I advised the client to go with an Elk until a better option is available.? Fortunately the security contractor is fine with Elk, although they do prefer the DSC.

I have the DSC NEO successfully working on a job.? Was a pain to setup.? ?Just make sure all settings on alarm system are correct, check documentation for module.? It takes like 10 minutes to connection so have to be patient when seeing if it is actually working.

Re: Issues with D3 and program generation.

Rollback back the Device Database to 200.295.001.00, its been about 4 months and we are still waiting for a fix.

Re: Smart graphics button state (active vs inactive)

Had a couple of minutes while waiting for someone to show up here so I pulled the cover off the gen control box to back probe the LED's.
The standby LED is normally on and that read 1.94 vdc.? I pulled the connector on the low gas pressure switch to make that LED come on.
That was also 1.94 vdc.? According to the controls manual, some of these LED's besides just coming on solid can also blink one second on and one second off.? I'm curious if a versiport can handle the blinking end of it and also the optoisolators.

I have uses the Hubitat modules to control Ecobee and it works great.

The Crestron-Hubitat driver allows you to integrate a wide range of off-the-shelf smart home devices with a Crestron system.

Hope this helps

CP3 - HTML Server issues - Service Unavailable

We are experiencing issues with a CP3's web server when dealing with multiple incoming requests.? We have roughly 14 devices requesting we pages and the devices occasionally complain with the message: ? server replied: Service Unavailable

Is there a known limitation of requests the web server can handle?? I've never seen a spec for this.? Is there a way to increase this limit?

HR-310 is my favorite. It's rock solid and looks great.

Re: Visionary Solutions D4100 and Duet2

VIDEO.SEND_CEC_GENERIC=10:04 works pretty well for me.

Re: Visionary Solutions D4100 and Duet2

looking at using VIDEO.CEC_GENERIC to control the displays
anyone used this?
not much in the docs
am i just sending ascii i.e. "40446D" for PowerOn_RCP

Re: Mitsubishi mini split and Crestron Home

Hmm, CoolPlugs -- this looks pretty clean to me -- looking closer, you're actually connecting to that internal serial port on the Mitsubishi heat pump controller board, and then providing some microcontroller-based hardware middleman that presents the heat pump over multiple interfaces of the installer's choice,?documenting in detail how to interface with each one.? That's ideal if you ask me!

One Hub. One CoolPlug per each Indoor Unit.

Home would talk to the CLH via Bacnet.

I actually work for CoolAutomation now, in full disclosure, but this is the best solution out there. I used them as an installer all the time...

Re: Issues with D3 and program generation.

Had this issue too. ?Horizon keypads were changed in the db and D3 isn¡¯t able to update the hardware definition when it edits the program. ?Found if I open the SMW (not the incomplete one), in Simpl Windows, the software prompts an update to the Horizon KP¡¯s. ?Updated, compiled and loaded successfully. ? It¡¯s a pain but a viable workaround. ?
