Re: D3 or Simpl
I guess it depends on how big the system is. I haven't had issues with D3 and would never use it for Panel design.

Re: D3 or Simpl
I used to use D3. It's a PIA if you need to make changes remotely and it generates very large messy programs with sometimes thousands of compile errors in a large system. UI options are limited. Now

D3 or Simpl
I have a question for those that do lighting programming whether its resi or commercial. If it's a straight forward lighting system without any crazy DMX or like, do you prefer D3 or writing in Simpl?

Re: GLS-OTD-C-CN Mounting
Lincoln, I think it was solely designed around you cutting a hole and using the wings. Even then, if the ceiling is thick it needs a longer screw.

Re: 3 series internal memory failure...AGAIN!
I'll offer some other insight on this. Back when I worked for Crestron and was adding Fusion EM to the processors we found the NVRAM was failing. It was selected originally to be the location for the

I was the unfortunate recipient of that largesse. My processor was located in Maui...lovely place but some 19-20 hours away from my home base. Best regards, Michael S. Moran

I had a conversation with a TB tech and was told the problem with the early 3 series cards was they were not setup properly. He said instead of writing to the entire SD card they would write to the

Re: 3 series internal memory failure...AGAIN!
Not necessarily. How often are you writing to the file? Is it once or twice a day? Not a big deal. Once or twice a minute? That's going to shorten the life, maybe from the designed to 10 years to 8.

Re: 3 series internal memory failure...AGAIN!
Okay all - Say it isn't so. I just wrote for 30+ rooms on a CP3N and PRO3 using the write to file Simpl+ module on this site. What I am hearing is, that module will shorten the life of the rooms I

I also forgot to mention SVSi as well does this. They were bought out by Harman and brought closer to the AMX line, but prior to the buy out, I've worked on a project that used hundreds of inputs and

Just Add Power does exactly what you were describing what you wanted to do. A managed network POE switch routes signals from the transmitters to the receivers. The JAP programming in SIMPL is done the
