Re: Using a C2N-IIF as a doorbell - problem with audio
Yes. There is a delay. I just did this with AAE's instead of bipad but I

However when installed at the customer site, the local doorbell (a Holovision door entry system) plays the audio fine, however the audio going through the BIPAD doesn't work and makes a very quiet muffled 'odd sounding' noise. The audio out from the C2N-IIF (via the Speaker outputs) - I have the SPK +/- wires going into the local speaker as well as feeding into a Direct Injection box to take the speaker level down to line level. This then feeds into one of the RCA stereo inputs of the BIPAD and into a AMPX. I've adjusted the impedence of the Direct Injection box from full to none however I can't seem to get anything to work. The levels of the AMPX are set to a sensible level and the rooms in question are 'activated' when the audio is playing after the doorbell button is pressed. The doorbell sound then plays on the local door-station speaker but not over the speakers in the house (ie via the BIPAD / AMP). Could there be a delay in the AMPX turning on each zone, or is there some sort of incompatibility of using a WAV file to play through the BIPAD and AMPX? (I'm beginning to clutch at straws as to what could be wrong!) Thanks Tom [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

MTX-3 Rendering performance
Page rendering performance seems to be lacking, so I am looking at ways to make page flips faster.
To get this out of the way...I never use page transitions so that is not the problem. I've noticed that graphics unfortunately seem to be the fastest way the MTX-3 can display a button. I can work with that if that is the best option. It's more work, but they look great visually and display almost instantly. Buttons with aliased text created in VTPro render more slowly but look crappy because they are obviously ...aliased...ha. Buttons with Anti-aliased text look good, but for me are unusable because they display so slowly. It's like watching text come up on a 300 baud modem connection to a BBS. Did I get the above correct or is there something I am missing that will allow me use MTX-3 rendered text, look good and render quickly? Thank you! |
MTX-3 VTPro System Bar Background
Howdy,
1st, I have only been a member for 2 weeks or so and have learned a ton on this site, so thanks mods and members. Much Appreciated. I am working on an MTX-3 and have a question about the system bar in VTPro. How do you make the background transparent? It seems like and should be an easy thing to do. Change the background color in the Properties of the System Bar right? If I do that, the background is black. If I change that setting from transparent to opaque and choose a color, the color appears as expected. If I change it back to transparent, it changes to black. WTF? Latest Firmware and VTPro as of today. Thank you! |

Thank you Tony Golden! You gave me the clue I needed, that the Mobile pro symbol was under Ethernet touch panels. I looked all over simpl and just could not find it. Once I used that symbol everything worked perfect!

2 series as a slave are CIP. They're not Gateway. As such you have to put the IP Entry in the IP config tab in SIMPL before you compile it if you expect to upload it w/the program, or you can do it via toolbox like you did.

When I compile and load the program to the cp3 the ip table does not include the eslaved pro2. If I manually enter the ip table entry it works fine, however the pro2 shows up as CIP instead of gateway. Anyone run into this? TB support said they would "tap some shoulders" and get back to me.

My first Android project
After looking through simpl and vtpro, I can't seem to find the appropriate symbols and panel type. In simpl I find a number of ipad/ipd/iphone Ethernet devices but no "Mobile pro" device or a reference to Android. In VTpro I can save as several typesof mobile pro projects but they all say iphone/ipad in the descriptions, again I can't find any reference to Android. My Crestron database is dated 5/2012 (31.00.004.00) and device database is 9/2012 (45.00.019.00). I figure they are new enough since the Android app came out in late 2011??
I find references on this group for using the ipad symbol for android too but can not confirm that is correct and I like many others just get an "invalid port" error when I try using any of the above combinations. Could someone clarify exactly what is needed to setup an Android app, exactly which symbols and panel type to select? Thanks for any help in advance, GG |

Unbricking a PTX3 (and probably a TPMC-3X ?) Anyone ?
We're seeing a new pandemic manifestation : PTX3 remotes breaking apart (literally or functionally).
The side buttons are flawed and being replaced. But I have the second PTX3 stuck on the boot screen in my carry-on bag since friday evening. The first one was sent back to Crestron and they "flashed" it. I don't know how to do that on the Mac side, but there is a solution on the DM side: Call TB and ask for answer ID 5133 (this ID hat Tech Sup level, cannot be accessed directly). You can force the DM inputs to non HDCP mode. Best regards Crestronfreak --- In Crestron@..., "matt_rasmussen_2000" <mjrtoo@...> wrote:
