That's good to know. Thanks Tony. I wish we had a forum where we could make
this post "sticky". I've always wondered the differences but they all
seemed to work so I just pick the shortest one.

Re: Ip table issue eslave a pro2 to a cp3

2 series as a slave are CIP. They're not Gateway. As such you have to put the IP Entry in the IP config tab in SIMPL before you compile it if you expect to upload it w/the program, or you can do it via toolbox like you did.

No magic, it's expected behavior, and they should know that.

I've been away from Creston for a while now after I bought the new house.....I'm looking at resurrecting my Vidmux for something that crossed my mind.....i can't seem to find the PDF for it anymore in documents.....can someone re-upload it for me? Google has been fruitless.

email me. I have all kinds of parts for them including 1/4 inch

I've dismantled the piece to get a handle on why, all four of the
audio boards are not present.

I can put up a screenshot if needed.

The PDF shows the silkscreen on the left side of the ports, but
this
vidmux only has L1 and L2 for the video only........I'm beyond
pissed
at this point, only because of ignorance on my part to know what I

I have a call into crestron but that doesn't look good since he

Anyone have any heads up on this cluster....?

Unbricking a PTX3 (and probably a TPMC-3X ?) Anyone ?

We're seeing a new pandemic manifestation : PTX3 remotes breaking apart (literally or functionally).

The side buttons are flawed and being replaced. But I have the second PTX3 stuck on the boot screen in my carry-on bag since friday evening. The first one was sent back to Crestron and they "flashed" it.

Is there a way to do that at home that anyone of you may know of ?

Re: Ethernet Intersystem Communication question (yay!... right?)

I'd add another MC3 or CEN-CI3 with appropriate cards. I'd avoid using prodigy processors, with regular Crestron stuff. You'll just get pigeon-holed in the future. And yeah, I know PMC3's are probably cheaper.

--- In Crestron@..., "metdeathx" <metdeathx@...> wrote:

In my personal system I have a MC3 that controls two rooms, each have some "local" sources, and there are some shared sources (BDP-7000ES, Roku, analog video switcher).

I'm thinking about adding a third room using a PMC3 and EIC, will that actually work? I can add the EIC symbol to the PMC3 system, and to the MC3. However, before I go about the ardous task of adding the handlers for those sources to the EIC, has anyone done anything similar?

If so, any pitfalls I should look out for? I'm not likely to run 1000s of symbols between the systems, just basic things like play/pause/stop, a few feedback and interlock states for the shared devices.

Re: samsung 46es8000 ex-link not working

I dropped one in yesterday and it worked straight out of the box with the Crestron Driver and Logic module

UN46ES8000 via ex link/Samsung 232 adapter into a PMC3-XP. I replaced an old LG plasma which was working via ir.

I tested the codes in SIMPL debugger before I tried our MTX-3 and worked beautifully.

What kind of ex-link/232 cable were you using?

Re: Prodigy EX and CEN-RFGW-EX

Joe Hostyn

Since it's the XP processor you can use any regular line product with it (including the RFGW-EX which I've used successfully), then you have no limitations with prodigy switches. ?It's not much more to buy CLW-ex switches and you only have the gateway limits to work with. ?If you need more than the 6 remote limit your screwed without adding an extra processor.

?
Hi,

I assume I know the answer to this, but wanted to confirm. I've done some testing to confirm, but still wanted to check.

I am working on a PMC3-XP and I'm getting close to the light switch limit for the onboard EX GW.

I can add a CEN-RFGW to the XP but it doesn't seem like the Prodigy switches will connect to the CEN-RFGW.

Can someone confirm that these (i.e. P-DIMEX or P-LDIMEX) will NOT work with the CEN-RFGW-EX?

Lastly, if I want to expand the EX capability of the prodigy, what is the part number for that unit? I cannot seem to find out what that is.

Thanks,
Warren
