Re: I need a scaler that can take a 240hz input and knock it down to 60
A Barco imagePRO-4K would take a 120Hz input. But when converting to 60Hz , it will just skip frames, no interpolation done. ? ...high frame rate in general, 120Hz is recently used in the professional simulation world, since the image generators are capable of rendering 120 fps. It makes a big difference. |
TS-1542 table top mount
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi, ? a client wants to change three TS-1542 wall mounted panels into table top panels. According to my sales rep, there?s no specific table top kit available for the TS-1542. ? So i?m asking the group if anybody has 1-3 table top stands for the TS-1542 sitting around somewhere or if you know any nice alternative. The TS-1542 is VESA compatible, but the the table top mounts i?ve found so far are more computer monitor display stands and design-wise not suitable for e.g. a living room. ? Cheers, Thorsten |

Hmm check with rgb spectrum? On Tue, Apr 5, 2022 at 7:31 AM K7XYM <public2@...> wrote: Stupid question. If your output is 60, why have the source at 120 or 240 ? Your conversion has to take 4 of the frames and make one out of it. So it has to keep the 4 and flatten them into one frame. So if something only happens once in that 4 frames, do you retain it ? If the object is moving for all 4 frames, do you avg that out ? The math quickly becomes mind boggling as you also have to keep track of more then just those 4 frames to predict motion avgs correctly. YEP you need a scaler, but, there will be pic degradation and the amount will be related to how much you spend. --

The sad thing for gamers ( esports ) is they kick this frame rate way up, but, the monitor chip that actually drives the pixels on the LCD is refreshing at a WAY lesser rate. Even the fastest LCDs take time to turn on/off a pixel - its a physics issue with the LCD cell material. Only a CRT could do the 120 or 240 correctly. OLED could but the chip driver gets in the way again. Just because a monitor is COMPATIBLE with high frame rates does NOT mean they flicker thier pixels at that rate. Hahaha.. And then of course is the eye. Anything above 90hz is too fast for the cells in the eye to respond to. Assuming you have a CRT or display that can really really display a frame of pixels, turn off, wait, turn on and display another.. Going fully away in-between 240 times a second.. Gamers are suffering from The Emperors New Clothes. Anything above 90 the eye cannot see. Sorry... that was unhelpful.. and rambling.. But its a subject that bothers me. I don't know of hardware that can do this. I even asked a post production guy I know. You bring up a really good issue. How to handle a room full of gamers doing stupid shit. Like 8k, HDR, 240hz, 4:4:4 when the game was rendered at 2K, SDR, 4:2:0 at 30 fps. A device is need your right and its only going to get worse. |
Master 2022, no virtual option? WTF
Yo, Crestron!, what is with Masters 2022 not having a virtual option at least? Not everyone has the luxury of extra money to blow to fly and stay in some place half way around the nation! ?Obviously it can be done virtually as well. Please don¡¯t feed me the ¡°we all want to be in the same room¡± line, it¡¯s NOT how ALL of us feel.

Re: Tascam players
So I'm having the same issues as the OP getting commands to work on a Tascam BD-MP4K, and the protocol guide for the BD-MP1 was helpful...to an extent.
I've loaded the commands in the guide, and I can only get basic commands to work; stop, play, pause, power on/off, tray open/close.? I cannot get fast forward/rewind, next/previous, up/down/left/right to work, and I don't know why. I'll admit, this part of programming is relatively new to me, so I'm sure there's a step I'm missing somewhere. |

I need a scaler that can take a 240hz input and knock it down to 60
Hey all, Just like the title says. I need to take a 240hz 1080p signal and drop it down to a 60hz 1080p signal over HDMI. This is for an eSports setup. I *may* be able to get away with 120hz on the input, but would like to keep it 240hz. Thanks! |
Color picker widget snaps to zero
The "hue saturation" and "lightness slider" of the color picker widget both snap to zero after about a second of selecting a color. This makes it difficult to get an actual color, because the ligthness slider by default is set to 0, so you woudl need to select a color, then the ligthness before it resets in order to get a value besides 0. I have max value set to 255. If I am fast enough I can grab an rgb value, but this doesnt seem right, or useable for a user. How can I change it so that the selected color stays at the current selection, rather than resetting back to 0?

Re: Yamaha 3080 multiple connections
A couple Follow-up points for others' edification.
- The Yamaha modules that the above link references are the ones that I've used successfully for both RS232 and IP control. As mentioned the IP module has TCP/IP client signal In/Outs but they are not internally connected. And Daniel, you're very welcome!!? I've received untold amounts of help from this Forum and the previous Yahoo iteration, so I'm happy to give back in some little way - Many on this forum are WAY MORE skilled than I, HaHa!!! - Just to clarify regarding your mention of the need to still have IP-IDs. The terminology may just be mixed up ....You do not need any TCP client symbols in the Device Symbol/Ethernet slot section. All you need is the IP address and the Port (50000d) on the module. The connections are all handled within the module. ...Using the TCP client with the module still doubles the connections for each AVR, which you don't want or need. ...This may just be a semantic issue with your description, but I just wanted to be clear about it - I.e. you will not have any IP-IDs associated with the AVRs. NOTE: That is the one downside with Direct Socket modules in that you do not have indication in the IPTABLE report as to the connectivity. This module does have an "Is_Connected" output signal that you can monitor to verify that the unit is connected and 'talking'... |
Re: Yamaha 3080 multiple connections
Hi HTH, The module I'm using is this one:? Chris just solved my problem, as you can see in my previous email. It was about me thinking that the module needed socket inputs and outputs to work. The module cares only about the IP and Port, as long as the program has an IP-ID device socket open on port 50000 it will work. Thanks everyone, this one is solved.
