So I'm having the same issues as the OP getting commands to work on a Tascam BD-MP4K, and the protocol guide for the BD-MP1 was helpful...to an extent.
I've loaded the commands in the guide, and I can only get basic commands to work; stop, play, pause, power on/off, tray open/close.? I cannot get fast forward/rewind, next/previous, up/down/left/right to work, and I don't know why.
I'll admit, this part of programming is relatively new to me, so I'm sure there's a step I'm missing somewhere.
