It might be much easier to approach this from another direction and control it via RS-232 using an Ethernet to Serial convertor, such as those from Moxa. Controlling these LG TV's with RS-232 commands

I found awhile ago that if I select ¡®remove files after install¡¯ that the software crashes. If I leave all the options unchecked and just hit ¡®download and install¡¯ it works correctly.
