Re: DMPS freezing in debugger?!

I work mostly with DMPS-300's and experience it multiple times a day, even more frustrating over VPN when it locks up.
I don't sync all states any more, just the ones i require.

--- In Crestron@..., "matthew.dean@..." <matthew.dean@...> wrote:

Hi guys

These days I seem to be having problems with debugger when using with a DMPS300 - usually I have to click to NOT synchronise all signal states when I fire it up, otherwise the DMPS300 will sometimes freeze (mainly after it has gone through all of its OOTB stuff) needing a hw-reset. But sometimes also I will get a freeze when just using debugger in the normal way, zapping around various signals etc.

I've got latest toolbox and DMPS300 firmware, but it is still happening and incredibly frustrating when the DMPS is in a rack miles away from the room. There is nothing particularly weird in the program.

Anyone else seen this?!

I would *almost* guarantee that the DVR won't put out a compatible stream. Plugging the DVR into a streamer like the NVS will get you on to the next TSW task.

Good to know - and I have encountered this problem, although it helps if you read how the CNRFGWA placement is supposed to be. I am curious - when this is applied to buttons (like vol, mute toggle, etc.) where multiple sends are undesirable, what happens? Does a toggle toggle multiple times? Vol changes multiple steps?

Re: Purchasing Sandbox equipment

Damn good question. TSW750/1050 because it would be beneficial to get familiar with. A 3-series processor. The rest is really questionable because it depends on what you program, resi/commercial/government. Not a captureHD, waste of money and it is easy to figure out.
A DM switcher and a Tx/Rx combo. That blows the budget right there though. Oh, well happy spending.

Re: Sharp TV - Ethernet Control

Interesting! But a connection would need to be established before being able to send the commands.
I have a TCP/IP client with a 1 on the connect input.
So, when the Sharp display sends its "username:" & "password:" feedback, then I will transmit two carriage returns in response. That should then enable the connection which in turn will allow me to send my commands. Will be trying this tomorrow, holding thumbs it works.

So I should have an SIO with the expected query strings from the Sharp

SIO see's that, it then transmits "\x0D" on both occasions?
This will then allow connection and I should be able to shoot commands at

It makes sense to me, thanks again guys!

When I connect to the display with my web browser, it also asks for a

hitting OK lets you in.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Using an analog to determine direction

You don't often hear 'Core3' and 'much easier' used together.

Sounds like you've already solved the problem, but if you're truely ramping
the analog (as in, a symbol that generates a RCB), you might get a Ramp
Information symbol (speedkey: RIN) to work. It's not a 'published' symbol,
so take with a large grain of salt.

I used an ASUM, SMV, and RMV for the signal delay, took the original
analog into a SAMPLE, and then used the ACOMP2 to determine if the motor

"Drape Controller" would be much easier, with less overhead and more
accurately. I could not wrap my head around it. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm having the same issues, as well as the same fears as you are Heath. I'm
wondering if's an issue with he network switch the TSW's are connected to. I
AM using the CEN-SWPOE24 and I have a sneaking suspicion that the POE is not
very reliable. The SWPOE24 also has the reboot at "x" time function but I
have found that when I have network wierdness, a soft reboot does not work,
a power cycle is the only remedy. I am curious to see what other network
switches others are using.

And Heath, your a major player in the Crestron world, maybe you could
explain to them that as programmers we cant run back to a job and do
firmware updates every 2 months, that seems to be the frequency in which the
TSW "inprovements" are coming.

I haven't had the feedback problems since, but there is a noticeable

tries to access something each day, as the various objects get going. On the
panels that I have not set to reboot, I've noticed some other odd behaviors

rebooting is the best thing to do for now.

I don't believe that will work. While it is running a solution, the system does not retrieve new values from the internal queues that hold the values from the hardware. So when you compare the N-many wave delayed value to the "new" value they're going to be the same.
