Re: DM-NVX-351
As Tyler mentioned, there's an Extreme option in the X465 series, which can support 802.3bt, but they are indeed not cheap. They can be specified with different internal power supplies to provide enough power for all your endpoints. If you went with dual 2000-watt PSUs, though, they need to be provided with 200-240VAC to supply full power to the switch, otherwise you might as well stick with dual 1100-watt PSUs. Cisco also has the Catalyst 9000 series, which can do 802.3bt as well, but these are even a tier above the Extreme X465 in terms of price. I have not used the Microsemi midspan injectors nor the Planet UPOE hub mentioned, but I have used standalone Planet UPOE injectors with success. They seemed like quality products. If you're looking for a single-box solution, though, I'd recommend looking at the Extreme X465 series switches.

Re: CrestronApp prob. H264 stream (android)
Hi?
>>>>>> rtsp://IP_ADDRESS/rtsph2641080p >>>> That looks familiar. Have you turned off RTSP authentication in the camera setup? Default is on and in that case you need to add username and passwd to your URL. Does it work in VLC player ? rtsp://user:passwd@IP_ADDRESS/rtsph2641080p |
Re: Sudden nk.exe error in DIN-AP3
Steve & Joshua,
Thanks both for the replies - The AP3 does not have any ports open to the internet although there is a CP3 open for the app and that connects to the AP3 by an xsig - can't see that as an issue for the AP3 though. I never use standard ports for anything to be fair - checked the router logs and no incoming. I updated to the latest firmware and this has stopped the error but I take your point that it has to be an external influence and I will do exactly as you suggest and turn auth on on all processors. Again, many thanks and stay safe, Mark |
Re: Fusion Email Templates
#Fusion
Create an email template (Attribute).
Add a serial tag insert. Go back to attributes TAB in setup and find the serial join data you want to be included in the email, Select the email rules TAB and find the template you just created. That will then add the serial$ data from the simpl program fusion join (Custom join 50 and above) To the email that fusion sends. If you are monitoring devices attached to the processor (IPID), I would use the fusion SSI Equipment Status module. Perhaps you have a reason for serial data in the email in which case as above. |
Re: CrestronApp prob. H264 stream (android)
Thank you guys,?
the hint from Maksym, regarding the embedded video app?s on/off join, seems to improve the bahviour. What? I?m testing now: Keep this join off. When flipping to the surveillance page in the project, first send the video URL, wait 2 sec, set the on/off join to on. When switching to another camera, first set the digital join to off again. With a 1s delay, send the new stream ULR, again 1s dealy, digital join to on. When navigating away from the surveillance page, first set the digital join to off again. One more finding, if the video doesn?t show, black screen, the camera?s OSD still shows an active connection. I haven?t wiresharked the traffic, but I assume the video is streamed, but not processed in the app. Using the camera?s MJPEG streams and switching to MPEG in the app, doesn?t work at all. |

How are you doing? The IT guy has configured the addresses. I can see the addresses going to Crestron, but for some reason the 2.5 module doesn't put it on its outputs. Smart Graphics are ok, I've tested it using a SIO logic. I've noticed this same issue being reported in other groups, but with no reliabe answers. Re: CrestronApp prob. H264 stream (android)
I've programmed a few systems with Lilin cameras and NVRs, and they always worked great with Crestron. If you want, I can send some URL examples I used, and I may also have a protocol doc from their tech support.

Polycom Group Address Book
Hi, group! How?are you doing? I hope this message finds you well. Well, I'm a newbie in this huge world?called Crestron, and today I was on field to integrate a Polycom Group 700 in a system already installed. Almost everything worked fine, but the ADDRESS BOOK (Local and Global) didn't work. In fact, I can see the addresses strings flowing from Group to CP3, but the group module (V 2.5) doesn't spit anything?out through its serial outputs (obviously, ADDRESS BOOK NAME # TEXT). Could you guys give me a tip to solve this issue? Thanks in?advance! |
DM-NVX-351
I have an upcoming system that will require a 12x12 ish NVX setup but all endpoints and transmitters (350s or 351s) must be POE on a single switch.? I'm aware that the requirements are POE++ or 802.3b+ type 3.
Does anyone have any strong opinions on this?? Have any experience with a switch that can hang with the POE requirements?? Yes, locally powering them is an option but not in this case.? Thoughts? |
Re: RoKu IP Control - again!
I just saw that there are CCD drivers in the Crestron SMW Library; however the version is v1.2 now. It has (10) custom commands with 'Exists' FB and Name Text.
1. Anyone used this successfully? 2. Has anyone found that the Custom commands work for the Favorites?? (It would be nice not to have to use two modules...) |
