I suspect then, if firmware on the chassis is up to date, then the card is most likely defective.

By looking through an empty slot right above the 4KZ-card, i noticed that there are just two LEDs illuminated near the card slot, but nothing else. On the other cards, there are a lot more LEDs illuminated during operation.
So i guess this leads more to a hardware failure of the card itself...

Re: DM Card Sequence

Hmm....
Have you tried changing slots and trying the dumpdmipcomfig again?

So actually nothing...

Firmware on the chassis is currently 4.102.352400073.
But the issue appeared also on older fw-versions (i?ve got the card sitting here for a few months now but never had the time to work on the issue).

So i guess this leads more to a hardware failure of the card itself...

What Jeremy is saying is crucial.?

To add to that, in the S# environment, especially when responding to an event from SIMPL that spawns a thread in S#, not returning from that thread in less than 20ms will force the the priority of the thread down in the pool and that can cause all kinds of issues if you¡¯re not aware of how the processor architecture handles all of the task switching between SIMPL and S+/#.

Hi Binu,

As far as I know, there is no way to shut down a Hikvision security NVR - I think that's part of the deal with it being a security device.? I've had a quick look through the web UI to confirm, and while there's a reboot option, there is no "shutdown" so I suspect that won't be in any API either.
A quick google seems to suggest that cutting the power to the NVR is all you can do.

All the best,
Oliver

Re: Hikvision NVR

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Just to confirm ¨C it¡¯s been a while since I¡¯ve looked at either the HIKCGI or PSIA API (both for my Hikvision HVR at home) but I don¡¯t think there is the capability to shut down ¨C as Oliver mentions, generally shutting down a security device is somewhere between a bad and horrible idea.

It also recovers fairly gracefully from a pure power cut.

?

My HVR has a serial port on it that is utterly and completely useless for anything except some debug. I¡¯ve never seen a published protocol/API for it and trying to poke and haven¡¯t found anything remotely useful in the real world.
