Re: Rava built in sound files?
Heather Baiman
I asked Crestron for the files awhile back. To stop the default ring, type SIPDEFAULTRING OFF in console. To ring your own files you'll have to drive them with either reserved or assignable joins in VT-Pro.

Re: Denon AVR4806 control via ethernet
You probably need to plug in the video cable to a TV to see the network settings. Definitely need a TCP/IP client, IP, as well as the port (probably 23). Good luck!

Dsc Power series and IT-100 no communication from either direction
Hey Yall. I have a client that has an mc3 talking to a dsc power series panel through an it-100. the system was working fine up until about a year ago when the link between the processor and the panel just didnt work any more.? As of this moment, i get no serial data out of the crestron module using keypad button presses or the init function. I also get no data from the security panel using the crestron processor or with pc interface.? Cabling has been verified a dozen times and im dead in the water,? Has anyone had an issue with this module not functioning and is there a secret handshake between the it-100 and its 232 companion that starts comm.? I am not a security installer, so be gentle with that judgement.? |

Inital Setup Menu.
Do note that these images are from a AVR 4520CI and will look slightly different but the process is the same. Here is where you set the Network to be "Always ON" Here is where you check for Firmware updates. Good Luck......... msm From: Crestron@... Subject: RE: [Crestron] Re: Denon AVR4806 control via ethernet All firmware is loaded via the web interface, which, again resides under "Network" i the menu structure. Use the Denon supplied remote control, enter "Setup"...scroll to Network or perhaps Network Settings. First, look at the "Info" section and it should reveal your current IP address and if you are actually "connected". I would urge you to set the unit up as "Static" so that you will always know where the Denon AVR lives on the network. Next, peruse the Network area and you should see "Check for Update". Hitting the Enter button will instruct the unit to connect to Denon's Server and look for updates. If it finds Updates, you should run them. Some can take as long as 40-50 minutes but this is impacted by the network speed and if there is more than one update available. DO NOT Run an update if you have any concerns about the robustness of the LAN or if your could experience a power outage. Do note that each new iteration of Denon's receiver's will look slightly different from a programming perspective. One further must do, make sure the IP is set to be always ON...not the Energy Saving Mode. Feel free to contact me if you have more issues. No matter what I do I cannot get a web menu (Denon does not offer ffirmware for this model on their website, I fell the web browser is not capable with this model). I was able to get the network menu to be active. I followed Denon's instructions but it took around six tries before I was successful. The client now shows online. Re: Denon AVR4806 control via ethernet
In my experience, the older the Denon/Marantz, the flakier IP control is.? Most likely, you need to do a hard power restart of the Denon and it will start responding again for a while.? IMHO, you're much better off using RS-232 control with it - the commands are the same and if you really need to have it on the network get a Moxa nPort or equivalent. I have video on the displays they are all Samsung TVs but what happens is that the image flickers sometimes and sometimes it goes blank and 3 seconds after it shows up again. I dont know if the error message is what is causing the problem or is the signal coming from the cable box. Hard to say but i really dont want to have that message displaying on the DM diplay screen. I have already checked all the conections and everything is fine. I think that i have to authenticate it but i couldnt find it in the DM tools or any instruction on crestron true blue support page. You said to check the DM supported display resolutions but in the config there are alot of resolutions to pick from unless i try each one of them. Its gotta be something simple to solve the problem.
