OT: Looking for 60" - 65" plasma with RS-232
I have a client that hates LCDs, loves plasmas. Tells me he wants one of the cheap entry level Panasonic 65" plasmas because he loves the picture. But also wants discrete input select, direct channel

Re: Biamp Audia help
Just to clarify to everyone. The only ID that can be replaced with an ASCII string is the Instance ID with an Instance ID Tag. If you lagel the channels in the software it does NOT replace the index

Re: Biamp Audia help
I've never used channel labeling - others here have had problems with it, which I've never had a problem just referencing the instance ID... - Chip

Re: Biamp Audia help
Agreed, I think you are probably using a FDRLVL if it is ganged. Chris also caught the GET D syntax mistake.

Re: Biamp Audia help
If it's a ganged level control, you'd be looking for FDRLVL. If it's the master level output of a standard mixer, it's SMLVLOUT. - Chip

Re: Biamp Audia help
Should be GETD, and the label applies to the instance ID not a specific IO of the block. So instead of instance ID 21 you would type Master in the instance ID field. You have to use the real values

Re: Biamp Audia help
Whenever I talk to Biamp, I have not used "volume index1 master" I would use "1" for the first level control. You can replace the Instance ID tag with Master, but this does not work 100% of the time.

They have been submitted to Crestron and are awaiting acceptance. We will hopefully know soon as to what needs to be fixed and resubmitted. Chris Flanagan * Applications Engineer Biamp Systems * 9300

Re: Biamp Audia help
Ok this is a stupid question but are you sure that the serial cable is connected to the correct device e.g. that what you think is connected to Port X on the processor is actually on Port X and not

Re: Biamp Audia help
Your command is almost correct. Remove the space between GET and D so that it reads GETD. You also need to specify the channel number after the instance ID number. The full command should read: GETD 1

Re: Biamp Audia help
When you label a block in Audia using Channel Identifier it takes the place of the instance ID. What type of a block are you controlling with "OUTLVL"? I am assuming this is to control a fader level

Re: Module Editing
If - on the defargs - the parameter "ID" is defined as a string type, you shouldn't be getting that error, but sometimes you can get seemingly out of place error messages like that, unfortunately. -

Re: Biamp Audia help
If I'm not mistaken, OUTLVL only applies to analog output blocks - is that the object in the DSP file you're trying to adjust? Otherwise, you need to look in the Audia help file for the command name
