This is rather odd. CLEANTXBUFFER should only be sent when a session times out and this is happening within a second of the connect attempt. I suppose it is possible that the CLEANTXBUFFER is from a previous session, but it is still odd. I'll see if I can work out what could be happening.

When this happens what does the TNC state show in the VARA driver window?

Re: Win BPQ32 and Uronode

What has already been said AND remove AUTOADDMAP as this enables any station to make a Map connection.?

It will be dropping off because it sees the node broadcast and gets added but when it tries to use it, it can be heard.?

MAP GB7SOU 192.168.0.75 UDP 10090 B

Uronode GB7SOU-1 Listens on UDP 10090

TX on route g1gxb-3 192.168.0.50 upd 10091 b

Neither sees the other but change both to UDP 10090 they work.

Trouble with this set up is GB7SOU-1 keeps dropping in and out of G1GXB-3 Node Table

Thanks John. So far is has not happened again, but if/when it does, I'll check the TNC state.

Re: VARA Error & Port stays attached

Actually, I have mine set before each ATTach line. That should work with else'd scripts.

Re: VARA Error & Port stays attached

Put IDLETIME 60 early in the script before your connect line.

Thanks Mark.? I think that will work in many cases.? There are cases, however, where there's already an
ELSE there in order to try AXUDP, for example, when VARA fails.

Win BPQ32 and Uronode

Hi All

Has anyone experience of connecting Windows BPQ32? ver V6.0.24.40 to Uronode using UDP

BPQ32 Config

?AUTOADDMAP

?BROADCAST NODES

MAP GB7SOU 192.168.0.75 UDP 10090 B

Uronode GB7SOU-1 Listens on UDP 10090

TX on route g1gxb-3 192.168.0.50 upd 10091 b

Neither sees the other but change both to UDP 10090 they work.

Trouble with this set up is GB7SOU-1 keeps dropping in and out of G1GXB-3 Node Table

Re: Missing calls in MH ?

Maybe for others, but for my observation, it was an idle unattached port. Just watch the modem decode but not getting to MH in bpq for UI orconnected mode sessions.

Re: Reverse polling does not send SID

The receiving end sent me his log of the connection, he was sending the SID, I was just not receiving it, most likely due to poor signal conditions.? My script was using the robust-connect feature of the SCS, ie. C %callsign
I think that my have confused me during my testing.

APRS ToCall description

Hello John,

Fyi, below is what shows when I have APRS active in LinBPQ.

Device: John Wiseman, G8BPQ: BPQ32 (software, Windows)

I don't think there needs to be a different ToCall for the Linux version, but perhaps the reference to Windows should be removed? I assume uses a description found in an "official reference"?

Obviously this is not a high priority.

Yes, TCP Master-Slave links can get around the problem, but unfortunately I found when I had a similar issue with CGNAT that not all stations behaved very well when they were configured to be the slave with mine as the Master. I have since gotten around the CGNAT issue using a VPN, so my node can be set up as a Slave in order to help others. I already have a couple of links set up that way, and they are reliable. I don't seem to have a problem when my side is the slave. The slave side needs to port forward the applicable TCP port to BPQ and be sure it's TCP not UDP.

I think an AXIP over TCP link should work. The starlink end should be the TCP-master, connecting to a TCP-Slave at the site with the fixed address.

So looking for a way for linbpq can connect out to other bbs and pass data and receive data through this natted scheme of starlinks.

Starlink also provides a IPv6 public dynamic address (I don't know how often it changes from the DHCP pool) that could be used if their were other IPv6 bbs setup.
