You have a console running on ttyS0 which is normally symlinked to /dev/serial0 - vc_mem.mem_size=0x40000000? console=ttyS0,115200 It looks like you need to use rasip-config to disable console on

Brian, Here are a few things to check/set. Run raspi-config, check the serial console off, then serial port on. remove power (you can leave the sd card out) turn pot R6 on the tnc all the way CCW
