Re: PILINBPQ RIG CONTROL

开云体育

RESOLVED

After beating this to death, I discovered that the problem was the parameter specification.
The documentation shows in the scan lines section...

F1-F3 - IF Filter for ICOM Rigs

So I was using..

RADIO 7 14.1075 LSB F1 W
Sorry?-?Set?Mode?Command?Rejected

A bit lower there is a different format for command line entry

RADIO Freq Mode Filter eg RADIO 14.112 USB 2 (ICOM)? ...note No "F"

Now If I send...

RADIO 7 14.1075 LSB 1 W0
Frequency?and?Mode?Set?OK

Now, all the parameters are accepted.

PERMITTEDCALLS? Did you mean PERMITTEDAPPLS as in the subject of this thread? If APPLS then see

Specifically:

PERMITTEDAPPLS=APPLS
This limits which applications can be accesed via this port, and prevents direct connects to the Application Callsign or Alias. Parameter is a comma separated list of Appl Numbers allowed to connect. Default is to permit all applications.

Correct.

PERMITTEDAPPLS , despite its name,? was designed to meet the UK licencing conditions, which can limit the use of certain calls to certain frequencies. It isn't intended to to prevent connecting to applications from the node.

KISS over TCP is treated by the Node the same as Serial KISS, so PERMITTEDCALLS should be applied.

In your telnet config you should have the directives to be a Winlink gateway.
CMS=1
CMSCALL=xxxxxx
CMSPASS=xxxxxx

Then you need to provide a relay directive...

RELAYAPP=BBS

Read up on FALLBACKTORELAY as that might be needed in your case.
That will put all Winlink messages in the BBS where users can pick them up. You may need an APPLICATION line to answer Winlink connections.

For NTS messages it is just a matter of forwarding records. A zip code in the TO field will forward to that station and the station probably should be a NTS digital station expecting NTS messages.
In the AT field you can put NTS* to forward all NTS messages, or you can use NTSxx where xx is a specific state to forward NTS messages for that state to a NTS digital station.

There are most likely other ways to do this, I'm sure. I actually run RMS Relay along side of one of my installs as it acts as a Local Post Office and I have not found a way for BPQ to completely simulate the actions of Relay.

Using those hints you can probably get it working the way you want, and may get a few more hints from other users more experienced than me.

NTS* and !NTSCA (will this kill a loop?)

I am noticing that some traffic may be looping because I have NTS* as
my outbound partner is the same as my inbound forwarding partner for
NTSCA. I am wondering adding an exclamation mark in front of a
"match" in BPQ. This works in FBB, not sure for BPQ.

Re: Any recommended config for using Direwolf with LinBPQ?

This is my current Port config:
PORT
?PORTNUM=3
?ID=DirewolfVHF ;WinLink Gateway 145.030MHz
?TYPE=ASYNC
?PROTOCOL=KISS
?IPADDR=127.0.0.1

ENDPORT

I want to be able to have my gateway used as a digipeater for WinLink? so I want to add the following entries:

DIGIFLAG=1 ;adding because I want to be able to be used as a digipeater
?DIGIPORT=0 ;digipeat on this same port that I received on

I'm just not sure if this isn't going to just digipeat everything or just the messages a user sends through my node as a digipeater.

PERMITTEDAPPLS only affects incoming connects on ax.25 ports. It doesn't affect the list of applications that is displayed by the Node ? command

No, it isn't possible to set a path for ID message.

You can achieve a similar effect using beacons.

Jim - if there is a way to do it with the IDMSG: directive in the bpq32.cfg file I do not know or have long forgot how. My bpq32.cfg simply contains

IDMSG:
***

I then set the text and a digi using either of two methods. Using the http gui is the recommended way by going to Ports and then selecting Beacons for the port involved which should provide a template to set the interval timing, the destination, any digi's, and the beacon text. The other not really recommended method that can work in a non http gui environment IF you are familiar with the file structure is to hand edit the UIUtil.cfg file although I suspect John may opt to not support doing this...

Re: BPQ + NTS + Winlink Client EmComm help (sans Internet)

Yes, I have much of that going already, but I am not having luck with
the zip code in the to: field. I get matches say K6HTN lives in
91104, and she gets tons of messages. I forward her matches to a file
(because we are still trying to get her setup), despite 91104 being
set in my forward settings for her call, I have to manually go in and
tag each piece of traffic to be forwarded. They don't automagically
get tagged green like @NTS* does in the AT field.
