You need to loosen the stud pulley bracket just under headstock, four 7/16 bolt head. Open end wrench or socket with short extension. You will find rubber washers under lath bed feet. To water proof

Basic plan is to take the lathe off of the table. That makes it about 300 pounds and 200 pounds., It has to come apart to go in the cellar anyway. Dave

These things are top heavy , remove what ever you can . Tool post , chuck , tailstock .... Ideally removing the lathe from the base . I don't know much about these lathes , but looking at the manual

Ralph, shipping a lathe like this will run you about 200-250 bucks for freight on a pallet, delivered to a terminal near you. Upon arrival, just put it in the back of your truck and drive it home.
