Ralph,?
shipping a lathe like this will run you about 200-250 bucks for freight on a pallet, delivered to a terminal near you. Upon arrival, just put it in the back of your truck and drive it home.?
Getting it crated would probably cost you another hundred?bucks at most, between the cost of 2x4s and a few sheets of OSB.
Moving the crate from the seller's house to the shipping terminal can be achieved either with free resources (seller, if willing), or you can get someone from Uship.com to do the local delivery.?
Just to give you an example, I bought a desktop lathe out of state. I paid 75 bucks to a guy to pick it up and deliver it to FedEx Print and Ship. FedEx charged me $36 to put everything in two boxes and fill them with packing materials to prevent jostling the
goodies. Shipping was $104 for ground home delivery.?
Hope this helps.

Hard to imagine if someone was serious and saw it the wouldn't buy it. I did, and paid more then, than I'm asking now, actually. The Ad is also on Facebook Marketplace. |
