Folks seem to think these bearings should be submerged in oil. Or at least ¡°wet¡±. Such is NOT the case. All that¡¯s needed is a very thin oil film. More than that works against proper operation.

Unlike journal bearings, the roller bearings do not need a continuous supply of oil. They just need to be "wet", so the little bit that gets dripped down from the cup should be plenty. The space
