Hello My line of Young's are from Perth-shire, Scotland and are recorded in Perth marriage of George Young and Mary Simpson in 1793. They had eight children all born in Perth. ( 3 died at a young age and buried in Grayfriers Cemetery, before relocating to Montreal,Canada about 1818 The family trade was plasterer, which was followed for at least five generations, ending in 1929 with the sudden death of Alfred Alexander Young in 1929. The family over time expanded to Eastern Townships of Quebec, Vermont, NY City, Rochester, Brantford, Toronto, Vancouver,BC and Los Angeles and beyond. Family Tree DNA testing at Y-111 shows a strong connection to Young families of Methven, Perth-shire. Y-111 in haplogroup I-M253 and Y-700 as I-A6826 D. Alan Young

YOUNG in Kentucky
2
For many years I have been searching for records of J. Henry Young, probably the son of James Young who was in Pendleton County, Kentucky in the 1830 census. Henry Young married Catharine "Kitty" Ellis (1806-1888) in Pendleton County on 12 September 1826, so I assume J. Henry was born around 1805; James Young was the bondsman. J. Henry Young is listed in the 1827 Pendleton County tax list, and he is listed as Henry Young in the 1831 tax list, the last time he is mentioned there. Henry and Catharine had at least tree children: Samuel Lockwood Young (1827-1895, married Elisabeth Wellman), John Horner Young (b after 1830 and died before 1884; he married the widowed Adda Fewell Hart in 1859), and James (born abt 1834 and died before 1879 possibly in St. Louis; he married Frances Brewer in Mercer County, Illinois and was a riverboat man). Henry and Catharine may also have had a daughter, Laura, but I find no records to prove that. Henry Young must have died before 1837, when Kitty remarried to Benjamin Shoemaker. Something to check on is a reference in the Barton films to claims against Pendleton County court, one to the administrator of the estate of Sidney H. Monroe, decd., for furnishing items to H. Young, a poor person, and another to Moses Wilkerson, for making coffins for Henry Young, November 1832 (citing H:118-121). I don't know what happened to Henry's presumed father, James Young, after 1830. In an interview with Elmon Young in "E. E. Barton's Collection of Northern Kentucky Families" in the 1930s, it said that Henry Young's home was located where George Doel lived, now Mrs. Juliet S. (Doel) Murphy's home. "Henry is buried in the yard there," Elmon said. Any recommendations will be appreciated! Vicki Young Albu

Three Young families
My great great grandfather McCready married Jane Young who already had a farm in Caistor Twp. (Lincoln County, Ontario (near Niagara Falls). The his son Andrew married Lilian Young and I have no idea of her background. but they took over the farm and stayed there their whole lives. Finally, my maternal Grandmother was the daughter of Joshua Young and Clarisa Shaw. All three Young families completely stump me as I search. Joshua Young according to some records seems to have been born in Nova Scotia OR New Brunswick Canada (have seen both). I have wondered how Jane Young came to have a farm in the early 1800s. Was she a widow or did her father have the farm? A book on Lincoln County tells me that James McCready worked on the farm and married the owner Jane Young. If you judge people, you have no time to LOVE them. Mother Theresa. Dr. D.J. McCready ( pronouns: he/him/his) Richmond Hill

John Young and Jessie Conn
My great-grandparents are John Young (1815-bef. 1870) and Jessie Conn (1815-1893). Jessie's maiden name has not been documented. John and Jessie Young along with three children, Hugh Conn (1843-1901), John E. (1845-1930) and Jane "Jenny" (1848-Ukn), emigrated from Scotland about 1850 and settled in Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin, USA. Three additional sons were born in Wisconsin: Robert Stephen (1851-1937), my grandfather; George B. (1853-1919); and, James Arthur (1856-1950). I'm searching for my Young ancestors in Scotland. My YOUNG tree can be viewed on Ancestry.com which can be found by doing a Member Search for Jim Young and scrolling down to find: Jim Young, McAlester, Pittsburg, Oklahoma, USA.
