YOUNG in Kentucky

For many years I have been searching for records of J. Henry Young, probably
the son of James Young who was in Pendleton County, Kentucky in the 1830
census. Henry Young married Catharine "Kitty" Ellis (1806-1888) in Pendleton
County on 12 September 1826, so I assume J. Henry was born around 1805;
James Young was the bondsman. J. Henry Young is listed in the 1827 Pendleton
County tax list, and he is listed as Henry Young in the 1831 tax list, the
last time he is mentioned there. Henry and Catharine had at least tree
children: Samuel Lockwood Young (1827-1895, married Elisabeth Wellman), John
Horner Young (b after 1830 and died before 1884; he married the widowed Adda
Fewell Hart in 1859), and James (born abt 1834 and died before 1879 possibly
in St. Louis; he married Frances Brewer in Mercer County, Illinois and was a
riverboat man). Henry and Catharine may also have had a daughter, Laura, but
I find no records to prove that.

Henry Young must have died before 1837, when Kitty remarried to Benjamin
Shoemaker. Something to check on is a reference in the Barton films to
claims against Pendleton County court, one to the administrator of the
estate of Sidney H. Monroe, decd., for furnishing items to H. Young, a poor
person, and another to Moses Wilkerson, for making coffins for Henry Young,
November 1832 (citing H:118-121). I don't know what happened to Henry's
presumed father, James Young, after 1830.

In an interview with Elmon Young in "E. E. Barton's Collection of Northern
Kentucky Families" in the 1930s, it said that Henry Young's home was located
where George Doel lived, now Mrs. Juliet S. (Doel) Murphy's home. "Henry is
buried in the yard there," Elmon said.

Any recommendations will be appreciated!
