Actually, I ordered a second frontlight kit because I inadvertently scratched the one I still have. This one seems to have brighter LEDs.
Anyway, apart from the scratch, the light on my 100 is more than enough.
I could have a look to the 70 schematics and point out some good solder point: the idea is to get the 3 V rail and attach there.

Re: muting or soloing pattern tracks when playing a song into a DAW?
Hi Eric
Sorry I was wrong. It seems with User Patterns you can mute or solo tracks and it will stay muted when you play the song. So you can just play one track of the song at a time. Thanks for suggesting this. :)

Re: muting or soloing pattern tracks when playing a song into a DAW?
Hi Gary
The muting in Pattern Mode does not stick when you go back to Song mode. It was possible to do this with the QY20 so a bit disappointing really.
|
Re: muting or soloing pattern tracks when playing a song into a DAW?
Hi Eric Yes I think you are correct. And as you can't mute or solo even the user pattern tracks in song mode you have to delete the ones you don't want each pass. So, multiple user patterns required. I also have more than one pattern in a song which makes it even harder. In the QY20 you could mute pattern tracks in Song mode which is very useful.
Cheers.

Thank you for that wealth of information. No matter how many times I read the manual and tried to apply the information, it was always hit and miss. You clarified it so well. Thank you!

Menu is always important to check as it is sensitive to whatever is on screen. ?For example in the 1st song window open the menu then select job the hit menu again and you can jump thru the job list faster as the menu is now a list of job shortcuts.
This sort of thing happens alot in the QY and makes the menu system very deep, but also fairly easy to navigate once you understand the hierarchy of the menus (they are also listed in the manual I believe).
Hope thus helps.

? Which kind of effects?
Reverb and chorus are easily adjustable per track. Variation effects can be set to system (all tracks) or insertion (to a single track)...then just adjust the amount of wet/dry for each track, or to a single insertion track (and check the box for the insertion track).
Outside of QY you can pump an audio track thru any number of guitar foot pedals, analog synths, etc.
Hope that helps.

Re: muting or soloing pattern tracks when playing a song into a DAW?
I believe in order to mute/solo a track in a given PRESET pattern you will need to copy the preset to a user pattern first, otherwise it ignores the mute/solo in song mode.
Going by memory, but I am pretty sure.

?Years ago, I had looked into alot of replacement backlit LCDs and one thing I noticed about potential replacements is that the driver chip (T6963C) always seemed to be actually built-in to the display, but in the QY schematics the driver appears to be on the main PCB, which I always assumed made them incompatible replacements.
Going by memory here, so please feel to correct me if I am missing something.

Also, it is known that the AN1x backlight may die (mine is perfect, but it is a known problem).

There is a factory reset mode AND also a test mode....try both? To Enter Test Mode: Simultaneously press SONG, PATT, FAST FWD, while turning on the unit.

Hi eric. Yes I tried the factory reset ? That got some things going. But not this memory full. Any other ideas? thanks
|
|
|
? You could try a factory reset.
I cannot remember the key combo but it is in the manual, which is available in the files section.
