The charging cradle is not very good. It will show
charging for a brief time when it is in fact not seated
well. Just have to figgle with it until it gets in the
cradle well, and then doublecheck it a few minutes later.

I have had that issue in a couple of cases. 1. Did not
get the radio in the slots properly lined up (its a tight
fit). 2. Went through the motions of charging, but got no
charge - unplugged the charger - and went through the
charge process again. It took 2nd time.
