FT-101EE Board complement. Is it okay?
Hello folks,
I'm trying to find out if the boards on my FT-101EE are proper enough to work happily together with the radio. I believe I have some that are okay, but possibly others that might not be optimum.? The radio's serial number shown on the back plate is 6N 241468 But there is another label on the side of the inside chassis (just below where the crystal sockets are) that shows 246107. I'm a bit confused in the manual where it tells what variation you have based on S/N. Early, Mid, Late...etc I'm not sure where mine falls. So here is what I currently have onboard: BLANKER???? PB1582B REG ? ?????????? PB1314A MOD???????????? PB1184A AUDIO????????? PB1315A RF???????????????? PB1181B LO-IF??????????? PB1183C HF-IF??????????? PB1180 Do any of these look like they might be a problem if they're not the right iteration of a certain board? Thanks for any help Mike KD7VRG Tucson, AZ |
Re: First visual inspection on my newly acquired Yaesu FT-101E. How's it look?
I've taken tube radios to the car wash, but a bit leery of doing that with the PCB arrangement in this case. Which is the only reason I didn't suggest that myself. Wire on MOX-PTT-VOX switch?
Hello again group,
While servicing the Phones jack on my FT-101EE, I noticed a loose wire in the same vicinity. I don't know if this wire has been loose or if it broke loose when removing the phone jack. It is a GREY/WHITE wire and one end of it is connected to the lower lug of the MOX-PTT-VOX switch.? I am looking to where the other [loose] end connects to. Any help appreciated... Re: FT-101EE component question
Mike there are many different versions of FT-101. Look the schematics at: alignment manual.pdf 73 Emerson Em ter., 20 de jun. de 2023 às 23:12, mikemm58 <mmcauley@...> escreveu:

FT-101EE component question
Hello group,
I have an FT-101EE (1976 vintage I believe) I have noticed the capacitor in the C103 position is a 1000uf 25v, whereas the schematic calls for a .047uf to be there.? Schematic also shows this as being a non-electrolytic, whereas mine is. C-103 connects to the T12 transformer on the bottom of the chassis. So, question is...what is the proper cap there? Thanks!
