I purchased a used FT-530 because I heard it was an excellent full duplex HT for satellite work. However, in trying it out on a local repeater I can’t get the repeater to open. Only the first five digits shown on the radio display in spite of the manual showing a full 6 digit frequency display when manually entered. The PL tone and offset are correctly entered It works for simplex use albeit at very short range and shows relative power on transmit. I drove right up to the repeater location and still could not hit the repeater. The radio has a “Miracle Baby CH-32 comet” antenna on it. Any thoughts on what the problem might be? Should I see the full six digit frequency on the display?

Does any one have one of these Transistors (or Two). I do not wish to wait months to order from China. TNX es 73

The infamous um9957f PIN diode, used in a plethora of radios i have looked everywhere for a datasheet/ specs for this puppy and searched forums and anything regarding it :( Having hard time controlling my PTSD aaarrrrgggggg...... A friend is wanting to try the digital modes on his FT-2000D. any recommendations of which interfaces work best with Yaesu FT-2000D. He has the optional DMU-2000 with it. Also which software covers all the digital modes. All help apreciated!! N5XES

I recently purchased this radio on QRZ and It has an issue. When I press the tune button, it shuts down and then restarts. I tried this into a Bird dummy load. I was going to use this at Field day and it was a no go. Receives fine. I do not have a CW sidetone either and that’s with the monitor active. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
