Re: Battery eliminator or clamshell for Yaesue FT-65R?
My question in this piece of equipment is does Yaesu make an OEM version, and if not, has anyone successfully used an aftermarket version, or is it not advisable?
?
. It enables you to use your HT with regular alkaline or Lithium ion AAA batteries. Intention is for battery availability with extended time in the backcountry. Again, question is does Yaesu make something like this for the FT-65R, and if not, has anyone successfully used an aftermarket option?
?
Thank you for reading!?

HF Rig, Power Supplies, Filters For Sale
Yaesu FT-2000 Deluxe HF Transceiver,
Power Supplies, Crystal filters For Sale: . Yaesu FT-2000 Deluxe HF Transceiver: The Yaesu FT-2000 follows in the tradition of venerable FT-1000 series, and incorporates an amazing number of advanced features from the FT-9000 series. This rig has just about every thing one can think of, and a bunch that you probably would not think of. The FT-2000 provides a full 100 watts of power output (AM: 25 Watts) on the 160-6 Meter Amateur bands. Superb continuous receive from 30 kHz to 60 MHz is provided. The receiver front-end includes a VRF (Variable RF Tuning) preselector which works in conjunction with a bank of fixed bandpass filters. This provides a front-line defense against strong out of band signals. The result is improved dynamic range and a higher intercept point than other designs. The First IF roofing filters (3/6/15 kHz) increase dynamic range in crowded band conditions. Variable IF Width and IF Shift allow precise interference rejection, and the receiver DSP also includes an Auto-Notch, Manual Notch, Digital Noise Reduction, and a continuously- variable passband Contour control. The WIDTH control has a mode-determined adjustment range of 200 Hz to 4 kHz for SSB, and 25 Hz to 2.4 kHz on CW. You have tremendous control over the fidelity and/or “talk power” of your SSB signal, thanks to the variable SSB bandwidth capability. The DMU-2000 Data Management Unit is optional. With this much sophistication, you might think that everything would be buried under a dozen menus. Although it does have menus, most of those items are for things that are seldom changed. The things you use the most have knobs and buttons on the front panel, making it easier to use. It requires 13.8 V DC at 22 amps. An Astron SS-30 is an ideal power supply for it. This particular unit works as it should. It looks like new, and is still in its original box. It includes the color advertising brochure with the regular manual. Buy it for $950. . Astron SS-30 Power Supply: The Astron SS-30 is a very common power supply in ham shacks. This is because it is just what is needed to power a normal 100 Watt HF rig, with a little bit extra to spare. It supplies 13.8 V DC at up to 30 amps intermittent, or 25 amps continuous. It is a switching type power supply, so it is quite light weight. I have used several of these, and have never found any switching noise. This one has a very slight positive modification As supplied by Astron there is no indication of when the power is on. A small light has been added to the right of the power switch to indicate that power is on. This one works 100% as it should, and looks very close to new. Buy it with paper work for $100 SS-30 M As above, but with analog voltmeter and analog ammeter. With paper work for $120 . Yaesu FP-707, 20 Amp Speaker/Power Supply For Sale: The Yaesu FP-707 is a 20 amp 13.8 Volt DC Power Supply, with a very nice front facing speaker in the same enclosure. Cosmetically, it matches the FT-707, FT-747, FT-757 and likely others. Electrically, it can provide up to 20 amps, so will work with most any HF and/or VHF rig. It also has a set of binding posts on the back for easy connection of a rig in addition to the HF rig. The speaker has a 3.5 mm plug on it. This particular unit is in very good shape both electrically and cosmetically. I can not find a scratch, dent, or ding on it. Electrically, it works as it should. Buy this unit with manual for $115 . Yaesu Crystal Filters: I have a variety of crystal filters available that fit Yaesu rigs. All of these filters work 100% like they should, and look great also. The following filters are for the 8.2 MHz IF. They fit the FT-1000 series, plus many, many others. If you have a fairly modern Yaesu rig, they probably fit, but check you manual. Yaesu XF-8.2M-251-01, 250 Hz CW filter for the 8.215 MHz IF. $75 Yaesu XF-8.2M-202-01, 2000 Hz SSB filter for the 8.215 MHz IF. $75 The following filters are for the 455 KHz IF. They fit the FT-1000 series, FT-890, plus many others. If you have a fairly modern Yaesu rig, they probably fit, but check you manual. As a general statement, the filters for the 455 KHz IF are sharper, with steeper skirts. XF-455K-501-01 (YF-100) 500 Hz wide for CW $115 . I also have many other accessories available such as many different types of microphones, HTs, VHF and UHF rigs, HF and VHF/UHF antennas, connectors, miscellaneous accessories, etc. Just too many to list here. Please e-mail your requests. . Prices do not include shipping from Florida. Thanks. 73, Ken, W8EK Ken Simpson E-mail to W8EK@... or W8EK@... Voice Phone (352) 732-8400 . |
Re: Battery eliminator or clamshell for Yaesue FT-65R?
开云体育Sorry, I don’t understand what you are asking.? By “battery eliminator” do you mean a way to power the radio without a battery?? I thought the power cord could plug into the radio directly, but not sure it operates while “charging”.? The
manual should know… ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]>

Does anyone know if Yaesu makes a battery eliminator or clamshell for the FT-65R? If not, has anyone successfully used an aftermarket option (or is that not advised)? ? Thank you, ? Lynne KR4BMV |
FS: Rigblaster Plus digital modes interface
I have a Westmountain Radio Rigblaster Plus soundcard interface to do digital modes from your computer with your rig. Great for FT8/FT4, PSK31, and other soundcard modes. It comes with the the usual Rigblaster cables to interface with the radio and soundcard-and the DB-9 to DB-9 to use for PTT switching if you need it. Has two of the round mic to RJ45 cables to interface your radio with the rigblaster as well. I will also include a parts unit Rigblaster which doesn't power on, and some of the cables that come with it.
This package will need a power cord or wall-wort as I don't have one for the Rigblaster plus. You can wire it for any model radio just by changing some of the jumpers in the rigblaster. It also comes with a homebrew audio switching box which probably contains some good parts in it for projects as well. I am asking $33 shipped in the US and can take paypal/check/MO. ?

Yaesu FT5100 dualband FM Radio
I have for sale a Yaesu FT5100 dualband FM radio. Does 50 watts on 2m and 35 watts on 70cm. It also does dual receive so you can listen to 2 bands, or 2 frequencies in the same band, at the same time. It will also do full duplex for the FM satellites. It will also do crossband repeat if you need to extend the range of your HT.
It works fine but the hand mic that comes with it doesn't put out any audio. The radio puts out transmit audio (confirmed thru crossband repeat), but the mic doesn't. I will include the Yaesu mic, and an Azden hand mic that you might be able to wire to work with the Yaesu. Also has a power cord. I am asking $125 shipped for all, and can take paypal/check/MO. ?

FS: Yaesu FT100 HF/VHF/UHF all mode plus FC-20 autotuner
I have for sale a Yaesu FT100 HF/VHF/UHF all mode transceiver. This is the mobile sized radio which does 100 watts on HF and 6 meters, 50 watts on 2m, and 20 watts on 70cm. Full of plenty of other features as well, include tone encode, built in keyer with 1 keyer memory, SWR meter, and wideband receive.
?
It does not have any optional filters installed. It comes with the radio and a mic which has the rubber cover deteriorating, and the PTT switch is Iffy. I would suggest replacing the, you can get them cheaply off of Amazon or ebay. It doesn't have a power cord with it. The pigtail has bare wires on the end so you can install any sort of power connector you like.
?
Works fine on transmit and receive. Case is in good shape overall with a few marks here and there.
?
I am asking $410 shipped in the US. I can take paypal/check/MO.
?
I have the matching FC-20 autotuner for sale which works fine and comes with interface cable. Asking $125 shipped for it. IT also works with the Yaesu FT847 transceiver. ?Has 2 antenna jacks with an antenna switch.

FS: Yaesu FT480 2 meter all mode, excellent condition
For those of you who like to collect and use the older Yaesu rigs, I have for sale from a local estate a Yaesu FT480 2 meter all mode radio.? It comes in the original box with the stryofoam inserts, original manual which still has the warranty card, and the bag of parts which includes the mic clip holder, fuses, a spare plastic connector for the PL tone board jack on the radio, the tilt bail, and the screws for the mobile mount.? What it doesn't come with is the hand mic, power cord or mobile bracket
?
This rig looks about as close to mint as you will get for a radio of this age.? The case and face look perfect.? There is a small amount of scratching on the side rails where the mobile bracket would attach to allow the radio to slide in and out of the bracket.? The 2 pin plastic connector on the bottom of the radio, which I believe is for the memory back up power source, is missing one of its sides, but it still should work.? The PL tone board connector looks excellent.
?
Since there is no power cord, I have not way of testing this.? I will say I sold a FT680 6 meter radio from this estate and it worked fine, as did most of the other radios I sold for this ham.?
?
I am asking $105 shipped for this radio, which will be in the original box put inside another box.? I can take paypal/check/MO.

4 pin power cord and gender changer for sale
I have for sale 2 items for Yaesu rigs like the FT450/950/2000? ( and a few other radios).
?
1. 4 pin power cord used in most modern HF radios. 6 feet long, spade type fuses in both lines. Each line consists of 2 cables, for a total of 4 cables. Handled 100 watt radios with no problem.?
?
2.? Several Yaesu radios use a male DB-9 connector for computer control. Many of the USB to serial cables you buy off of ebay or Amazon have a male DB-9 on the one end. So here is your solution! I have a DB-9 female to female gender changer plug. Insert one end into the male connector on your rig, and now you have a female DB-9 connector to plug your cable into. Great for CAT control of your radio.??
This one is 2 to 3 inches long, made out of hard plastic, and built like a tank. It should hold up very well.? I am asking $22 shipped for both. I can take paypal/check/MO/cash/cashapp. 73 John AF5CC |

You may already have ruled this out, but if you haven't, you can have someone on the other end of a QSO first tell you what frequency their radio says they are transmitting on, then have them tune in your signal for best audio and tell you what frequency they say you are transmitting on. It's probably not that simple, but if it is, you could just make adjustments to the RIT circuit. Another thought came to my mind. Are you using voice compression? If so, turn it off and get some signal audio reports. Yaesu FT450 ribbon cable fix
n an unfortunate set of events, I managed to pull out the ribbon cable which joins the head to the body of the transceiver, on the body of the transceiver end.? While trying to reseat it, the plastic bar that holds it in place broke.? So I am guessing that the jack will need to be replaced.? Does anyone on the list have experience with this type of repair?? Is it going to be very difficult/time consuming/expensive?
?
Any advice would be appreciated.
