Ok so it’s not a 50/60 cycle hum. Could be a hum induced by the DCC signal but I don’t think that’s likely. If you have other DR4018’s and there ok I have a chat with you supplier. Cheers

Don, I would go ahead and loop the signal wires to the power input. This should balance it out. I have never tried to run power into the signal side without power in the power side. See if
