I know the Z21 app works (and I've used it) but I'm not clear about other apps.
From digging around it seems apps such as WiThrottle or Engine Driver need to go through JMRI or something like a LNWI

I suggest that the setting you want to change is the GPON/GPOFF to stop it forwarding short circuit events over LocoNet. I am not sure whether no highlight means it isn’t sent or it is sent, best to

Thanks for responding Iain,
Did you mean the Button Action menu? It defaults to "Power On/Off Global", so could you mean "Power On/Off Local"? (I can't test that for a few days unfortunately)

You need to change the options within the booster and tell it not to forward the short to the command station. You can change the actions in the track power options.

There are variations with these modules including operating voltage and trigger - many are just Lo others are either Hi or Lo by jumper. Note you need to set the trigger source jumper to use either

Not certain, but you could add a second YD6016LN-CS which you connect via Loconet and split the YD6016ES-CS across the pair of them.

Best bet would be to but a YD6016LN-CS and connect it to the LocoNet on the
Z21 black. You connect the ES modules into the LN Module

I'm thinking of buying a Z21 black but can I use my 12 S88s with the Z21 as they are all coupled by ethernet cables
