Re: Connecting WLANMaus throttle to YD7001
Hi Jay,
after having succesfully updated my WLANmaus using your information (thanks for this!) I think installing the z21 Maintenance Tool is not necessary. The option for WLANmaus update in the maintenance tool is just starting the WlanMausUpdate.exe program and thus it should be possible to start WlanMausUpdate.exe without the detour via z21 Maintenance Tool. That is the way given in the german instructions who are included in the WLANmaus update tool. Kind regards Bernhard |
Meeting Room Sept 3, 2023 Starting 1:00 PM CDT
Lets do a open meeting starting around 1:00 PM CDT. It is open to everyone. We can talk about YaMoRC products, setup of equipment, Problems, Show-N-Tell,etc When entering the room can you use your first name or Handle and also add your location? Example "Dennis TX"? or? "Fred AZ" This Room is open 24/7 for all members to use anytime you want. ?? If you have a problem and need help and another member can go to the room and wok on the problem. Hope to see you there. -- Dennis Cherry Owner/Moderator |
Re: Connecting WLANMaus throttle to YD7001
Ian and Dennis
Success finally connecting the WLANMaus for the YD7001.? Once I updated the firmware to the latest level, they connected immediately and I was able to run trains. I have added below the process I used to update the firmware.? I searched but could not find anything written about how to do it, so the information below may help others. Thank you both for your help.? Jay Lennox - Toronto Updating the firmware was challenging - I had never done it.? Finally determined that I needed to use the Z21 Maintenance tool.? I downloaded this and also the WLANMaus update from the Z21.eu site, unzipped both zip files into a directory, found the Maintenance Tool application in the directory, started it, and then choose the 'Options' on the top line of the app to gain access to the WLANMaus update. Once the Windows PC and the WLANMaus were on the SAME network, the maintenance tool found the WLANMaus, and then I could install the new firmware.? I also updated the firmware for the radio in the WLANMaus. |

You use 3 wires with a DR4018 and set the DR4018 into Mode 6 Many Thanks Iain Morrison On Sat, 2 Sep 2023 at 02:33, Human[c]ity Junction <heath@...> wrote:

Re: Controlling MP5 point motors with DR4018/DK50018/YD8116
And apparently I just needed to look at little deeper, aka look at the YaMoRC manual, not the DR4018 manual. I am not completely sure I understand what settings I will need in the DR4018, but hopefully I can figure it out before damaging an MP5 motor.

Controlling MP5 point motors with DR4018/DK50018/YD8116
Hello,
How would I wire the MTB MP 5 point motors with a?DR4018/DK50018/YD8116? Would I use the DR4101 and use two wire control of the MP5? Or can I use three wire control of the MP5 and go straight out of the decoder? Thanks -- Heath @ Human[c]ity |
YD7001 - LAN LED Behaviour
Hi
Previously I have observed that when there is a good and solid LAN connection between the YD7001 and a router the LAN LED is yellow and always ON.? Has anyone else observed a different behaviour of the LED? Yesterday while about 6 throttles (using the WiThrottle protocol) were connected to the YD7001 through the WiFi of the router, we started to notice that the throttles were loosing the WiFi connection (messages on the throttles indicated they had lost connection to the command station).? Further observation showed that the LAN LED on the YD7001 was not solid yellow, but rather turning off for very short periods, suggesting to me that the YD7001 connection to the LAN was a little unstable.? There were no message in the YD7001 application suggesting the the LAN connection was 'DEAD'. Has anyone else observed this? Thanks for any help you can provide. Jay Lennox - Toronto PS. We do have a gigabit switch installed in the LAN between the router and the YD7001 to stabilize the YD7001 LAN connection as suggested by Karst. |
Re: DR5052
Google is correct. for the distance and driving times. Both routes are toll free. William died in Rouen at 60 and is buried in/near Caen.
Have a bunch of neighbors (about 10 km away), one is HO gauge using Digikeijs & YaMoRC, the other N gauge just using YaMoRC; which I'm helping them to setup and automate using JMRI with simplified signals (RYG). French signals might be on the agenda for later. I'm N gauge using Digikeijs & YaMoRC If one heads west from where we are, as opposed to east, the next stop after the Oyster beds is Newfoundland. If any one wants to drop in for a cup of, coffee, glass of beer or wine, you'd be most welcome. Good camembert is also produced in the region. I don't have access to the??WLANMaus nor the YD7001 except at the club.? I hope to get there this afternoon. Ian I will have to update the??WLANMaus firmware before the next attempt to get connected. I will post again after I have more results.? Thank you both for your help. |
Re: DR5052
According to Google Blainville-sur-mer is 142km from where William the Conqueror was born in Falaise, Duchy of Normandy ?

You shouldn¡¯t need to put the port in as it is the default port, but worth checking. You will 100% need to update the firmware on the MAUS, you can get the firmware at ? Many Thanks Iain Morrison On Mon, 28 Aug 2023 at 20:05, Jay Lennox <jay.lennox@...> wrote: Ian |

Thanks for the very fast response. Once I have entered the IP address for the Z21 interface, do I need to also enter the 21105 port number into some field in the throttle interface?? If I don't, then I would assume the throttle will just use the default value?? Yes, I will double check that the port number for the Z21 interface is 21105. Thanks. Note: we have not used these throttles in 3 years so their firmware may be out of date.? I will need to check that tomorrow when I am at the club. |
