This is how my system is setup.??just plugged the command station into my network and it¡¯s available.?

Are you setting it up over WiFi or can you hardwire the command station.?

Integrating YD7001 into my home network

Hey all!

Could someone help me in integrating the DY7001 into my network? I would like to have people who come over be able to log into my home network, and the YD7001 be there on their phone apps. I DO NOT want a separate SSID/Network. IF that is possible.

Thanks!

Re: YD9401 to JMRI

Vinny, I was never able to get the DR5000 to consistantly work over the network, so I was using the USB connection.

Robert, thanks for this information. So I am assuming that you are not running the LocoNet Server on JMRI, and the YD is the LocoNet server for the system. I will give this a try later.

Thanks

Re: YD9401 to JMRI

Heath,

You need to check the LocoNet LBServer.
I have the LocoNet Bianary unchecked as I don't have anything that uses this as far as I know.
It has been working for me.

Bob Gamble

Followup, something is not working correctly.

On the YaMoRC, I have LocoNet Binary turned on and LocoNet LBServer unchecked.
In JMRI, I have LocoNet over TCP with the IP and port set to match the YaMoRC.
In JMRI, I tried it with and without the LocoNet server running. Neither worked.

?

The Loconet over TCP connection kept crashing JMRI. I am assuming I have a setting wrong, but something that I need to figur eout.

Thanks

Re: YD9401 to JMRI

Hi Heath, I'm assuming you had the DR5000 working with JMRI before the upgrade? I have a DR5000 working with JMRI. I can share its settings if you think that will help. I'm curious what your issue is because I plan to upgrade to the Yamorc soon.

Re: YD9401 to JMRI

I am going to leave this here in case someone else makes the same dumb mistake I made.

Click the checkbox for advanced settings and change the port to 5560.

YD9401 to JMRI

Hello,

I would like to connect my upgraded DR5000 with the YD9401 to JMRI. I am trying to use Loconet of TCP in JMRI, but I have not been able to sucessfully make a connection.

I am 99% sure that this is operator error, but I am not sure what exactly it is I am doing wrong.

Would anyone be willing to share their settings?

Thanks

Re: Withrottle dont full work with YD7001

The multichannel problem was solved in Build 55

Re: Withrottle dont full work with YD7001

I'm only using (for testing) WiThrottleLite on iPhone. And this works fine.

@Jacques: is WiThrottleLite working for you and only WiThrottlePro has the issue?

@Karst: If WiThrottlePro has a problem which seems to support 2 channels, maybe it's a similar problem with the Fremo wiFred who can use 4 channels?

Re: Replacement enclosures

I have one I can send you.

Re: Tip: Updating software / Firmware on YD7001

Iain,

- The majority of users I help do not have their railway room or equipment connected to the internet, therefore they will not know that there are updates.

I suspect you are helping them because they are not connected. Your users lose nothing if they are not connected as they wouldn't be able to update anyway.

My comment stands. If a window shows information that purports to be current, it should be current. If it cannot check currency then it should not show misleading information. This is basic.

Can anybody help Jacques ?

Maybe @Frank Becke or @Jay Lennox ??

Re: Short Protection

And in there you can read, that it is "short-proof" upto currents of 3A / Output.

?

That means there is no active Short Protection, Instead we rely on sensible users which do not ignore our advice to use only power supplies up to 3.5A.

Doing so, makes the YD8116 last. Of course the PSU should have an overload- or short protection.

The YD8008 is short-proof by design, since it discharges it's CDU very rapidly in case of a short circuit. Doing so it will allow for up to 9 Amps :O for which the used MOSFET are certified.

Re: Tip: Updating software / Firmware on YD7001

A couple of weeks a go i updated my DR5000 to the YD7001.

Looking at the file downloaded to convert the CS it was build 55.

Should I keep build 55 or do I update to build 59?

Next week, I have 3 YD7001's I need to know what build I should keep these unit and my YD7001 also.
