Re: Transverter
There' was/is a discussion thread in Dec. 2020, with 48 message posts, called "External amp keying" The picture was posted in that thread.? The thread was about the same problem. I think that's why

Re: Transverter
Last resort would be manual PTT.? I don't think it will come to that. It does both, keys the radio and will key an external device.. via the CE-19. I did find this in the files area of this group.

Re: Transverter
Use a manual PTT switch on the transverter? Does the PTT connection on the ACC socket actually 'send' (for lack of a better word) the PTT signal to an external device?? Or does that connection allow

Re: Transverter
4 vdc in receive, 0 vdc in transmit on the radio ACC jack. The CE-19 has 0 V on both receive and transmit, leading me to believe it's just a relay contact. I dug out an optoisolator from the junk box

Re: Transverter
OK, let's put it this way: What is the voltage on the 8 pin ACC jack PTT terminal when the radio is in receive mode? What is the voltage on the 8 pin ACC jack PTT terminal when the radio is in

Re: CW Reader And High SWR Tuner Readings on a Magloop and Buddistick After Tuning
A factory reset just removes all settings that you've made and puts the radio back to the "factory default" settings for the installed firmware version.?? It doesn't erase the firmware - you do

Re: Transverter
There really isn't much to this thing. 2 smt transistors. 6 resistors, at least 1 for the pwr led, 2 dip switches and a relay. I expected to see an optoisolator but don't. The ptt line goes to a smt

Re: Transverter
Maybe just an optoisolator. Try? checking the PTT signal level with and without the CE19?? See if it needs an inverter. -- Doug, K8RFT
By DougVL · #634 ·
Re: Transverter
That solved it. I'll have to see what's involved in coming up with something smaller just for ptt. I don't want to have to pack the CE-19 and extra cabling around. Can't be much to it. --- Clinton,

Re: Transverter
Thanks Doug.? I have a CD-19 and have never used it.? I'll give it a try and see if that works. Clinton, VE7KNL

Re: Transverter
You may need the CE-19 expansion interface.? It has an 'isolating' stage in it that might also be an inverter (inverting the logic level).? Unfortunately, details of the CE-19 seem to be scarce. --

Transverter
Has anyone got their X5105 working with a transverter?? Mine keys my 28/222 transverter from transverters-store.com as soon as I plug the ptt in.? I have the transverter ptt connected to the ptt on

Maybe dangerous situation (dangerous for the radio) with EFHW
Just blammo'd the CW on my G90 running it to a EFHW with 49:1 balun, 20ft of coax, no ground/counterpoise. I was testing the balun/wire set up & used the tuner to get the radio to a low SWR. (The

CW Reader And High SWR Tuner Readings on a Magloop and Buddistick After Tuning
Could anyone advise of the correct Menu settings required for the CW reader to function correctly and actually read and decode Morse. I¡¯ve tuned into several CW transmissions with perfect Morse,

Re: Calibrating X5105 SWR Meter
Do you mean S-meter or SWR? I thought RSSI was linked to S-meter sensitivity & SWR measure was a transmit function.
