Transfer Update
I apologize, between that Holidays, health and a death to a friend my thinking spare time has been consumed over the last few weeks. I believe that I have most if not all of the data from the previous Yahoo site and will continue with the changeover process as my life settles down and time permits. 73, John KK4ITX

G1M
The G1M four band has no reset to factory settings. I have the four band unit. It seems to work well then goes on the blink. I suspect heat and stray RF. This radio likes dipooles and developed problems when using wire antenna's like inverted Ls with an antenna tuner. Any one else with these problems... TNX constomer@... is the factory email for help.

Great little radio 2
Hi All, I have had 3 of these, all of which had problems that needed repair. I am amazed at just how versatile this radio can be. I replaced the MIC jack with a miniature 4 pin XLR connector as this was the only latching connector I could find. The extra pin was used for audio out. The radio will transmit as low as 100KHz! This makes it great for testing antenna's and can be used for the 137KHz and 400KHz bands. With an old solid state CB amplifier, you can get 50-100 watts output if you need more power. I would advise anyone wanting to do this to install a low pass filter for each band. I did this by using a LPF from an old HF radio. We may as well keep our bands clean. It is difficult to work on when repairs are needed though. It's no where near as bad as the FT-817 though as I can at least see the components on the board. It's a great little radio for the few faults it might have. Clint, VE3CMQ

Controlling the X1M with HRD 5
I picked up an interface serial to USB cable for the X1M this week. The manual suggests using the Icom IC-718 drivers in HRD but I find I cannot connect. Has something happened since the X1M first came out or should I be using a different set of drivers. Mark Coady VE3LJQ/VA3MYC Selwyn, ON

X1M firmware updates 13
Hi, I was active on the old X1M Yahoo group but that is now history. I was hoping that the firmware update files that were stored there might have gotten transferred to this site, but I have not found them. The last update I have is "X1M-PT-V1d024-build007(USA)-updater" and if there is a later one, I would love to have it. I've searched with Google, but no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have 5 of the firmware updates, if anyone would like to store them here?

very low RF output when using BPF. 3
Hi everyone, knowing now that the yahoo X1M group no longer exists, the is my last resort. I bough the X1M back I'm 2014, I guess, due to busy life I only realised that my X1M was defective now in 2020. I'll explain what's going on. I get full power 6 watts out of the X1M when the BPFs for 10 15 20 40 80 bands are not engaged. out of the ham bands the radio is not designed, it works really well, very sensitive receiver and again 6 watts. I suspected the BPFs or one of them could be faulty, so I decided to bypass the BPFs. Things got worse, therefore I can assume it's not the BPF. I've checked the the RX/TX relay and it's fine too. I'm running out of ideas here. Does anyone know what's going on with my X1m? Thank you in advance Flavio VE2ZFP

CW Keyer 12
The internal keyer for CW does not seem right, the weight and ratio are off and it sounds terrible. Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a way to correct it? 73 Roger K7EZ

X1M pro project files 2
Hi, Bob! I posted my archive on x1m when this group moved, dunno if it is accesible via group, uploaded them here, https://fex.net/s/cxkef6l . They will be accessible for a couple of days. Google doesn't like this archive as attachment, possibly because of executables of firmware upgrades... This is all I have on this TRX, hope you will find files you need. WBR, Yuri UT4ULU

CW sidetone 5
I recently picked up a x1m Pro in working order. It seems to function as it should. It currently has v. 1.023, 1/21/2014. First my electronic skills are marginal; I can solder two pieces of wire together and they will look like crap, joined but ugly. I try not to do any modifications because I will eventually create a non-working item. I am finding the CW sidetone extremely loud; using a straight key. I adjusted the trim pot 90 degrees to the right (as shown in the documentation), still too loud. Adjusted once again 90 degrees to the right and still too loud. If I bottom out the trim and back off 90 degrees from the bottom will this help lower the volume and not create a new problem? I see there are several updated firmwares. Must they be installed in order or can I load the newest? Where can I find the upgrade procedure for updating the firmware? Suggestions are welcomed. T

Microphone and SSB calibration 4
I have slowly made progress with the X1M. Now I have narrowed down a SSB issue to the microphone. Having read the instructions on one of the online configuration PDFs I would like to know if there is a way to calibrate without any meter or additional hardware. All I have is the X1m and a SW receiver which can be used to pick up a transmission. Currently the SSB transmissions are extremely garbled and muffled, but they are on the correct frequency. thanks,

20 15 and 10 meters doesn t work 3
Hi group, I bought a used x1m pro two days ago. It works great on 80 and 40 meters bands ( full 5 watt output and good reports), but on 20 , 15 and 10 meters bands it uses just 0.2A and virtually no output (seen on my wattmeter). I noticed that when I transmit (with a dummy load) outside the ham bands I get full output power also near the ham bands ( E.G 14.400 mhz), so I think that the problem is somewhere in the band pass filters. I desoldered the two relay switches of the 20 meters band filter and they worked fine, also tested all the other relays and toroids and everything seems ok. Any ideas? Has anyone had the same problem? Thank you :)

No NF Power
Hello, from one day to an other the x1m lost nf Power. I have no complete circuit and servicemanual for messure and no oszi. my Know-how is also Not very high. Tx, Display is fine. At Power On the ?palim“ also not to hear. speaker and Headphonejack are checked. What i hear was a quiet Power on ?palim“ on the cw Tone poti. I put a mic ampliphier on this btw. The cw-side tone is also not to hear in cw-tx mode. could anybody help me what i can check and give me some meassuring points with voltage Ort so. At the moment i have only a normal multimeter I warnt to give the sound back to this fine little transceiver. my supposition is a failure in nf amp. like lm 386 dead or faulty voltage. Thank you very much for Reading and any help or even a solution 73 Ralf
