CW Keyer
Roger,
The internal keyer has been an issue since the start of the X1M.? Xeigu never fixed the issue, probably in the firmware and they never released the source code so that other could fix the issue.? I don't even like the sounds when using a straight key. You may try an external keyer and see if that helps ? What we have noticed with the Chinese equipment is that there is little to zero after sale assistance of any kind but we have noticed that some of the issues raised on the email reflectors were addressed in their newer models, so at least they are listening, just not responding in a friendly manner.? This was especially true with the Baofeng UV5R.? At least major manufacturers converse with you. Wish I had a solution for you. John KK4ITX |

John is right, the keyer was never quite right.? Different firmware versions tried to address the complaints, but I don't think any of them really did.? ?As I recall, new firmware would fix some things and break others.? ?You might try a few different firmware versions and find one you like.? ?I'm trying to figure out how to upload the versions I have to the group's "Files" section...

开云体育From the old Yahoo groups files: There
is a place on the main board where you can adjust the sidetone and
mic level, see image below.?? I never tried it, I'm still learning
Morse...still...

开云体育Lee,I adjusted mine several years ago, AFAIK it only controls the volume which was ear piercing on my unit. ?My issue is the side tone “breaking up”, thoughts at first was a dirty key.... nope. John KK4ITX? Visit: ?. ? ? On Jan 13, 2021, at 12:39, Lee Phebus via <kf7yrs@...> wrote:
