Re: Header rattle?
Ok....so...one cap nut on left header required tightening! Ha. Little loose fasteners can create a racket? and for those not in the know, a serious loud noise can mimic excessive valve train noise

Thanks but def not headlight rattle, this pitch is entirely different. Will double check all fasteners as some posted videos(for other bikes) had similar noises that turned out to be attributed to

Re: Header rattle?
Are you sure it is not the headlamp rattle? When in. Movement and when you
are listening to it, place your hand on the headlight front/ and see if it
stops.

Re: Low idle, uuah?
Yup! As usual, all of ya were correct. Utilized the 'magic' external idle speed knob and it did the trick; happily ticks at 1k RPM under load and quick runs.
What will Kawi think of next? Ha, to do

Header rattle?
Hi crew,
So...I am fairly certain my left front header rattles? It could have been amplified based on my parking in an empty, wide loading dock but def heard something from that area. Not motor,

When I did mine I used metal electrical conduit. It was the only material
I could find that was the exact same diameter and wall thickness as the OE

Oh yeah! Fellow ex-pat classic CB450 classic owner. Lemme tell ya, both these bikes are similar but I left 1,000 mi oil changes, ignition timings, and carb jet cleanings behind :)

Re: Leaking fuel after storage. Stuck Floats?
Thanks -- the vacuum petcock is a mystery to me, but if the fact that it isn't creating a puddle until I turn over is evidence that it's working correctly, i guess that does leave me with the

Re: Leaking fuel after storage. Stuck Floats?
Just a follow up, it sounds like your petcock is working, turning the fuel on and off so I would suspect the float valve's are the problem. Even if the petcock is stuck open the floats should shut

Re: Leaking fuel after storage. Stuck Floats?
If you are running any form of Ethanol blended gas and it has been sitting in the carbs for any length of time you need to take apart your carbs and clean them, that stuff ruins small engine

Re: Leaking fuel after storage. Stuck Floats?
Setting the petcock to prime fills the carb bowls, drawing fuel from that source. The stock petcock is vaccum operated so you may leave it with the On position. Now, fuel leakage may indicate that the

Going from memory here and my W is long gone so I can't go take a look, but
I am pretty sure I replaced my fuel tap with this Yami part (positions on

Leaking fuel after storage. Stuck Floats?
I pulled the (new to me last season) 2000 W650 out of storage.
I had drained the bowls before I put it away. -- I know this hadn't been done for years, and the bike needs the choke on warm-up, which
