Hello,So back in the day, I remember having to make registry entries and everything. My question is, when I install the new and improved exe installer for ui-view, can I then cut & paste the source folder contents into the destination folder of ui-view and it work ? or, am I looking at disaster ? The reason I'd like to move contents is i have the updated icons for the map as well as all my settings for digi and server list. Anyone tried a cut and paste ? 73's de ke4kke

Hello, wa2nan, Kerry here. I'm using ui-view with a LaCrosse ws-2812u-it wx station and the wuhu Heavy Weather Pro software. I'm trying to get the ui-view wx setup to work. I think I'm setting up wuhu input file ok with currdat.lst but the output file wants to use the currdat.lst file also. That won't work as ui-view is looking for a .txt wx dat file in the setup. In ui-view32, I have setup my callsign and the program is working. I tried to setup the wx station setup using my call with a (-4) which has worked for years before I had to do a reinstall. The wx station is working but comes up with my call with no (-4). The station shows up on the map as just my main callsign with no (-4)....any ideas...tnx -- Sent from Outlook Email App for Android

Hi Does anyone know if the registration and Recovery process is still working. I went into the site and noted that email can take up to 36 hours, as yet not received. It’s many years since I used UIVEW32.exe due to serious illness but would love to get back on. Cheers. I have just tried using the details in the registration page that was sent to me using online as the name and my callsig as my name and it still fails saying "That registration is invalid", in a UI-View32 message box. Please advise as I am i real need to installl and re-use Ui-View32 thank you..

Hello all, I have run ui-view with WUHU and a LaCrosse ws-2812u-it weather station for 15 years with no problem. I've always had the WX station running in ui-view with no problem. I recently replaced the the computer and now cannot get the ui-view wx station setup. WUHU finds the currdat.lst input file and the LaCrosse works fine. Where do I find or how do I setup the output file that ui-view wx is looking for. I find nothing in the computer such as wx.txt, wxnow.txt, currdat.txt etc. Is anyone running this setup that can point me in the right direction... kerry@...... -- Sent from Outlook Email App for Android

Hello All, Still no joy on getting ui-view to connect with my wx station. WUHU is showing my station readings so the currdat- input file location is right. Not sure where to send the output in the wuhu setup. I setup the wx station in ui-view but it's not showing up on the map and no details. The wx station is a LaCrosse ws-2812u-it and it has worked well for several years until I changed computers. I'm setting up the weather station in ui-view using my LaCrosse ws-2812u-it station. I've used it for years with Heavy Weather Pro but recently lost the hard drive on the computer I was using. I'm now installing on a new computer and ui-view and Heavy weather both working but the wx.txt file called for in the setup is not found. Should we be using standard settings for APRS - I have tried variations settings using wide and trace 3-3 etc etc and not sure what settings we should be using to gain best use. thanks Dave m1doz

For years, my home APRS Webservers have been running on a Comcast cable modem Internet connection that barely yielded a 500Kb/sec upload speed. As of 1 May 2021, these servers are now using a 100 Mb/sec up/down fiber Internet connection. People viewing maps generated by the 11 copies of Uiview running on this server should now experience vastly faster load times than before. The WA8LMF UIwebserver runs on an Acer E3-111 "netbook" 11.8" "mini-laptop" running Win7-64 supporting 4 VMware virtual machines. This netbook uses a quad-core Pentium processor with 8GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. Total power draw is 9.5 watts while supporting 11 copies of UIiview, BeaconSee (IARU beacon monitor), EchoLink and two SSTV automatic receive systems. It provides real-time views of what I am hearing off-the-air (not the Internet) in central MIchigan, on 144.39 MHz VHF, the ISS APRS digipeater on 145.825 MHz, 30 Meters HF and 60 Meters HF. The HF systems map both classic AS.25 packet APRS and PSK63/MFSK16 APRS reception on separate instances of UIview; i.e. 4 separate copies. What is a good reasonably priced weather station that works well on ui-view. and is easy for data file to be recognised and uploaded. thanks Dave m1doz

Evening foks, I am new to the UI View program and I have a few questions that I cant seem to find answer for, and I thought I would try here. 1. I was told there are new "maps" are available and they are this "latest version he just put up on the website is Map Server version 2.0.1 and the OSM Maptool version 1.4.0.0," I must be blind or something I cant find that link anyplace. 2. I have Weather Display creating the WXNOW.TXT file in the APRS setup menu, I have set that location in UI View, and... nothing is happening, and I missing a checkbox someplace? ANy help would be great no one around my area has any idea. KC0RFR

I originally registered Ui-View32 on October 2, 2018. I have changed computers and tried to logon to Ui-View32 with Windows 10 and window poped up with and error message saying my registration was invalid. Help? Burt AF5AA kango03@...:

Hello, This is my first post in a very long time it's always just worked. I've been using UIview32 and Traffic for almost 20 years without an issue on (along with other legacy apps that require) XP I know I know but on a limited internet access machine. I've searched the archive but haven't found that error. Program opens as usual then hangs with a runtime window opening "Error 6 'Overflow' at marker 120", when you click OK or X the program closes.
