Re: Kenwood TH-D74 via Bluetooth

If UI is set for Kiss then the radio must be set for kiss mode as well, Unfortunately UI does not have a specific set up for the TH-d74 in KISS mode so your best bet is to use the D700 setup rather than the TNC2 and see if that works, if it does not you will have to modify the commands in the D700.cmd file (found in the cmd directory) to suit what the D74 needs.

Trying unsuccessfully to connect my Kenwood TH-D74 via Bluetooth to UI-View on a windows machine.
The radio is connected via bluetooth to the laptop. I can use other applications fine In UI-View I am configured as follows BaudRate 9600 Parity None Com Port 5 (confirmed) Data Bit 8 Stop Bit 1 Host Mode Kiss

Setup of HostMode I am using TNC2
- This is where I'm unsure of what to do.

My callsign is configured. I'm just not seeing any other data coming into UI-View

Re: Kenwood TH-D74 via Bluetooth

Using the TH-D74 with UI-View is supported by very specific instructions in the D74 manual. It appears there are clues as you proceed through the setup to watch for correct responses.

Did you follow the directions and see the proper responses as you did so?

Also, if your radio is operating on the APRS frequency without anything connected, can you hear valid packet noises when you listen to the audio with the squelch open?

APRS on FM

Re: Kenwood TH-D74 via Bluetooth

A clarification please:

Are you attempting to receive positions from APRS on FM or D-PRS from D-Star?

Re: Ui-View and PA7RHM Mapserver Ver 2.0.1 installation files

Hi Keith,
If you mean the 'Updater' program I found and uploaded that, but you may also require OSM Maptool to work alongside Map Server.
In case you didn't have that already, I also added the 2 versions that I had to the UIView addons folder.

Thank you so much Ian.
I've been informed that I also need PA7RHM updater program too, if you have an old copy of that install package?

Thank you again.

Hi Keith,
I had a look through my collection of UIView stuff, and have found a couple of PA7RHM Mapserver install files, including v2.01.
I've uploaded them to the files section, under the UIView addons folder.
Hopefully that is what you're after

Re: Ui-View and PA7RHM Mapserver Ver 2.0.1 installation files

Hi Keith,

I'm afraid the PC used to download all the install files is long gone. I have trundled through the file structure of W98 and the install files are not on the hard drive.
When the ancient laptop I use for UI-VIEW eventually expires I will probably no longer run APRS in any form from home.
Rarely run it mobile nowadays. Sorry.

I'm still running an old version on W98. Not actually on line (and at present not on rf until I replace the defective radio).
