And what date would this be?
Hi All!
\Hereward Wargames Show is going virtual this year due to the pandemic.?
Our plan is to run a YouTube live stream for the length of the show (10am to 4pm) with a combination of chat, prerecorded videos of various sorts, dipping in on live Zoom calls of games put on for the show, plus adverts/informercials from our traders. This
will be free to watch.
If you are interested in contributing to the show, please do get in touch ASAP. Some possible options you might want to consider:
-
record us a 30 sec – 2 min video advert for your products we can show one or more times
-
record an infomercial (for what of a better word) – 10-30 mins in depth look at a ruleset or product, or an edited gameplay session, or some wargames-related history: your choice.
-
Zoom a live game (with remote players), and the ‘show’ will come drop in on you and find out how it’s going from time to time (we have the tech for this). What we plan to do is also get people putting on games to stream their game to YouTube as well (if they
have a Pro account this is trivial – we can show you how if needed), so that we can have a page of ‘show games’ for people to go watch in addition to the main feed.
-
join in with a live or prerecorded chat or panel on some topic in wargaming plus perhaps live Q&A via Zoom afterwards – if you have any thoughts on such a panel or chat, or would be interested in participating, please let us know!
If you’re interested, or have any other suggestions to offer, please drop us a line at?virtual@....

Dear IABSM experts, I'm getting ready to host Anzio scenario #14 game here in Vermont (COVID-safe!!, outdoor gaming on the patio)..... Anyway, I need clarification on Night Fighting. Scenario (page 14) says the following:
This scenario takes place at night. The following rules apply:
? All spotting rolls are at –3 unless the target is illuminated (i.e. either has a light shining upon it, or is shining a light itself) in which case the roll is as daylight.
? All fire outside short range is shifted one column to the right.
? Note the changes to the deviation of the off-table artillery, below.
? Distances for visibility are halved at night. Illuminated targets, however, should be visible from distances longer than the wargaming table, although terrain features will obscure vision as normal.
So, my questions are, if visibility is halved, does this mean that,
THE FIRE TABLE
Close Range is now 0-4.5 inches
Effective Range is now 4.5 inches to 9 inches
Long Range is now 9 inches and over
SPOTTING
Does this mean the the Spotting Table is adjusted to read from left to right, 0-2 inches, 2-4.5 inches, 4.5-12 inches and 12 inches and up? Does this mean the Automatic Spotting Table is adjusted to read from left to right, 0-2 inches, 2-4.5 inches and 4.5-12 inches
DIRECT FIRE vs. VEHICLES
0-9 inches and 9 inches and over
DIRECT FIRE H.E. vs. INFANTRY
I'm thinking it might be kind of hard for a tank to shoot an H.E. shell accurately at a group of men dug-in at night. So, maybe (a) if they roll double 6s, make them reroll a 4-6 on 1D6 to get the critical hit and (b) rolling a 1 stays as a miss but if they roll a 2 then re-roll 1D6 and if it is a 4-6 then that is a miss as well.
Thoughts, answers, rule proclamations.... Thanks!

Re: Piats and Panzerfausts and Bazookas
Sounds like it was written by someone who thinks the spring pushed the round at the target and not just acts as the spickets recoil device and firing pin spring.?

Re: Piats and Panzerfausts and Bazookas
I believe so, a level up from IABSM. There was a blog post by Richard about it. Kind regards Andrew Holmes
