Hi all,
I have created a new photo album called "Tek User Comments". It's for interesting or amusing comments found written in Tek manuals or as graffiti on equipment. I started it off with a "cry

TDS5034B Software Installation
My TDS5034B boots up with a message that TekVisa is not found. After dismissing the message the scope appears to run normally. Tiring of the nag at bootup I decided to find and install TekVisa. The

Re: Skirt lettering for scope knobs
Powerpoint might be a better alternative. It lets you place text at whatever angle you like with whatever font you have installed on your computer.
I recently constructed the graphics for the meter

Re: Skirt lettering for scope knobs
Leo,
Your artwork looks great. Thanks for posting the Word file you created. I wasn't aware that Word could be used to place the numeral around the circular skirt in that rotational manner. If you can

Re: Tektronix 2213A CRT question
Hakan,
Thank you. I must have missed your earlier post. I will make a note to
update the information on the TekWiki site.

Re: Tektronix 2213A CRT question
That Wiki info is incorrect.
From my previous post (according to manuals and RPR)
154-0838-00 was used only 2213 and 2215.
154-0861-00 was used in 2213A, 2215A, 2235 and 2236.
and 2213/15 have 8kV

Re: Tektronix 2213A CRT question
The service manuals for the 2213 and 2213A are on the TekWiki site and call
out the part numbers for the CRTs. They are both 154-0838-00, so they are

Re: Tektronix 2213A CRT question
Thanks for the replies, still have no joy on a direct replacement.
So the question still stands:
Will a 2213 crt work in a 2213A?
I realize that the HV lead will need to be adapted.

Re: Updated SG505
Just to be complete, although most group members probably know this, there
are three Tektronix-related GIO groups:

Re: Tektronix 2247A problem. Keep or return?
Thanks again. I'll pull the processor board and have a look at the power supply and replace any diodes marked ZM or ZS.
I'll definitely replace the battery, I think Digikey has the correct one. I'll

Re: Updated SG505
Oh, that's interesting... I had no idea there's a group dedicated to just
the 500 (and I assume 5000) Tektronix plugs and frames.
I don't think I've seen a strict enforcement of keeping this group

Re: Skirt lettering for scope knobs
Hi Barry,
sorry, I should have mentioned in my case the skirts were broken, that's why I made new ones like this.
I sold it, so I can not take pictures of how it looked.

Nice documentation, thanks!
It looks like you replaced the skirt. I was actually trying to get the letters on the original acrylic skirt. I wonder if this method would look as good under the

Re: Tektronix 2247A problem. Keep or return?
Just check the power supply diodes for either ZM or ZS markings and replace. And the 3V battery.
Should then be done and ready to enjoy.

Just replace the 3V battery to get rid of the annoying power up error message and the recalibration routine running every time. You need to lift the main processor board that is on top, and the
