Which plugins for TEK561A
Can someone point me to a source that shows which plugins will work
in a 561A? I seem to recall seeing this either in an online manual
or other source, but I can't recall where.
Thanks!

Re: 7104 power supply
Problem sorted! It *was* the 9V zener in the +50V supply. But at 2am I
didn't try fully loading the supply - and if everything isn't connected, the
supply goes into burst mode.
Eventually convinced

Re: 7104 power supply
Did you try procedure on page 4-11, step 4? Practically, disable protection
circuit by removing two shut down transistors and use Variac to bring line
voltage from 0 to about 85 V. Sounds scary, but

Ballantine 6130A Manual Needed
Does anyone in the group have a Service manual for a Ballantine 6130A Time Mark Generator? Mine "almost" works correctly. The 5ns Sine wave generator (200 MHz) makes sinewaves all over the place. I

Re: 7104 power supply
It's odd how writing thinks down helps to clarify things. All the supplies
rely on the +50V rail - it is used as a voltage reference for all the
others. So if something is screwy with the +50V, all

Re: 7104 power supply
Hi Craig
I have only worked on a few of these but one trick I found helped was to
short the sense pin to gnd - this will allow it to ignore any fault signal
and get going.
Downside is of course you

7104 power supply
Well, I bought a 7104 with a known problem. Power supply operates in burst
mode (the dreaded tic, tic, squeak, tic, squeak...). So far so good - but
this is driving me nuts so I thought I'd run it

Re: Tektronix Spelling
Don't forget "Textronics". When you've worked in a Tek Service

possible way of spelling it.
