Tektronix 151-0830-00 and 234-0239-20
I need help finding 2 NPN Transistors PART # 151-0830-00 for Tektronix 2246 Oscilloscope. Both Q305 and Q306 are shorted and I do not understand why both should be shorted E to B. I can understand

Re: Temperature coef nomenclature
Thank you all for the replies. The value read was 1.14M Ohm. Please forgive my typo. Regards, Roger

Re: Temperature coef nomenclature
As I recall, "T0" is +/- either 50 or 100 ppm/C. These "T" numbers have been standardized for a long time. You can search around for the terms and find tables that lists them. I think T16 is the

Re: Temperature coef nomenclature
David, from the service manual, the manufacturer part number is 5053RD1M430F which suggests 1.43 MegOhm. If it were 1.43 milliOhm then it would have drifted an awful lot to read as 1.43 Ohms now, and

Re: Temperature coef nomenclature
R569 MegOhm or milli-Ohm? TC=T0, just means zero temp coefficient or close to. D.

Re: Temperature coef nomenclature
Really? 43,000,000 Ohms specified vs 1.14 Ohms measured? If so then WOW!

Re: Tektronix 576 missing max peak volts knob
If those parts are removed then there's NO TELLING what other parts are missing or bad. Parts for these are generally only available used and on FleaBay and the asking prices are usually insane.

Re: Tektronix 576 missing max peak volts knob
Matt If there is no shaft coming out of the hole this could be a small missing part or a very LARGE missing part. This is a 2 layer shaft that is coupled directly to the isolated collector supply. So

Tektronix 576 missing max peak volts knob
Hi, I¡¯m considering a 576 curve tracer that has a missing max peak volts knob and no shaft coming out of the hole. So presumably there are also some missing parts inside. How feasible is this to

Re: 547 HV Transformer Question(s)
Albert, I think I fixed the x1 and x10 horizontal issue. I can now quite dial them in. The problem was that the contacts of the x2, x5, and x10 wafer-switch were very dirty. Even at zero, the

Re: 547 HV Transformer Question(s)
I see Stephen. It's good to set R544 and R566 first and do steps 24 and 44 after that. Steps 24 and 44 have no effect on sweep speed, only on sweep length. Albert

Dear All, I am trying to fix a Tek 577 for some time. After a LOT of work I think I have been able to fix all major problems of the unit and go through the calibration procedure. One minor issue I

I remember when I was in that situation, Facebook Marketplace cured that symptom. Anyways, amazingly there are many that might be in your local area that don't advertise the best that might even

Re: Fixing a PS502 that blows the fuse in the TM500 power module
Murchison, I thought that I had checked the bridge rectifier (CR10) for shorts, but either I had not, or I had not made good contact when doing so, because now I see that two terminals are

Have you checked CR10 for shorts?

Re: 547 HV Transformer Question(s)
I didn¡¯t get to that point yet. I¡¯m getting ahead of myself. I was just monkeying around with R544 and R566 to see if they had any effect. Many things were bad in this scope. I changed several

Re: 547 HV Transformer Question(s)
Hi Stephen, Which pots do you mean? Sweep lenghts are determined by internal trimpots in the Miller run-up circuits, calibration steps 24 and 44. Is time/div OK or also expanded? Albert
