Re: Tektronix 576 missing max peak volts knob

Matt

If there is no shaft coming out of the hole this could be a small missing part or a very LARGE missing part. This is a 2 layer shaft that is coupled directly to the isolated collector supply. So now the questions are how much? For $20.00 it might be a steal. For what these tend to go for I personally would pass. Because the known issues of does it have the good HV transformer as well as a healthy tube are also a question.

However if the tube is healthy there is some value there because as a parts unit the tube in the 576 is unique. The 577 is the one that shares with a scope. I can provide a lot more information off list if you ware interested.

Subject: [TekScopes] Tektronix 576 missing max peak volts knob

Hi,

I¡¯m considering a 576 curve tracer that has a missing max peak volts knob and no shaft coming out of the hole. So presumably there are also some missing parts inside. How feasible is this to replace?

I took a quick look at sphere and qservice but didn¡¯t see the relevant parts. I¡¯m not opposed to making an equivalent if that¡¯s practical.

Thanks
Matt
